I lied to my gf about venting to my family (particularly my sister which they both aren’t on good terms) about our problems I lied to her face and she caught me red handed when she asked me to look at my phone and I did show her and she saw the messages I was scared of conflict because it’s normally not a healthy conflict resolution we have We have a daughter as well but I have broken her trust before and all the progress I have made is gone We haven’t had a healthy relationship and I am taking this time to really reflect our relationship and see what is the right direction to go because we are having problems regularly and our daughter is seeing it and feeling it I just want my gf to be a great mother and myself be a great father together or apart

Definitely one of the best videos on approaching this issue! Others are absolutely terrible and make it sound like the victim needs to do all the work There ARE things the victim can do like not continually guilt trip and help communicate ways to rebuild

Thank you for this video Im watching because im a liar Yes i tell lies I thought i was taking ownership after every lie I was defensive and dismissive I got given chance after chance Ive broken the integrity of our relationship and caused pain and shame The thought of doung that to my partner hurts deeply Im now in therapy and working on myself to get to the root of the problem Lies are like drugs and alcohol Once you and admit the problem and seek help, it doesnt stop there Its a lufes work I trust myself to continue putting the time, effort and hard work into it Id love nothing more than my partner/ex to recieve this, but it's not my decision to make and is out of my control brBut what is in my control is my decision to continue the the effort and hard work to ridding this awful habit

I’ve lied on three separate occasions to my partner to avoid conflict He doesn’t think he can let go of what I did We are broken up & taking some time apart Im using this time to really self reflect & to try & break those negative habits/tendencies Ive had I WANT so desperately to rebuild trust, I just dont know if it’s possible at this point after what I’ve done to him No infidelity whatsoever Just lying
