Junk silver is the only silver I trust The rest can be fake I would never buy gold for the same reason You have to go through so much trouble to verify that they are genuine With junk silver you don't have to worry about all that and if needed it could serve as money if it all collapsed

I worked on a register for 15 years, 100's of transactions a day I ran across a ton of dimes and quarters in my time made pre-1964 I always kept change in my pocket to trade it out of the till My best find was a lady who wanted to get rid of about $11 in silver half-dollars She just was tired of them in her purse and wanted them gone My boss was like OMG who paid with these!? I told him no worries I will take them and trade them out for paper I told him the next day thanks because they worth about $63 That was years ago and I'm sitting on those coins 😂

silver coinage was produced until (but not including, which is what until means ), 1965 if you want to say 64, since it's on the pure side of the wall, say produced "through 1964" notice i didn't use the term circulated, when i was a kid in the 70s the typical hand full of coins still commonly included a silver coin I'd find several a month, even now they can circulate, but now I find one every couple years if there's a hard recession in 2024, be on the lookout, because people raid their stash of change when they're broke silver always shows up more commonly in circulation during recessions

I only stack "junk" for 2 reasons br1 In the very very rare event that silver paper price drops to zero you will still hold the face value of your stack Although minimal compared to your initial investment you will still be able to recover something on your investment br2 Junk stuff like Roosevelt dimes are rarely ever counterfeited so you know your getting purity that you pay for
