For me, Josh is just the best online bass teacher I was on the BaseBuzz course about a year ago and I enjoyed every minute of it It was just like having a (hilarious) friend who's teaching and motivating you all the time I attended several courses (bass and guitar) but this one was by far the best Haven't had so much fun learning since Wish he would start another bass or guitar course Highly recommended Greetings from Hamburg!

Hi Josh, another Josh here I am severely hard of hearing, and I am more of a drummer than a bassist, and I just got a beginner bass and am teaching myself (trying to) to play Do you have any videos or are willing to make one that is more of a hands-on approach? I learn things differently than most Your videos are super simple and easy to understand, yet I still struggle due to the way I learn things Any advice?

I found that on day 3, if you use any other finger on the seventh fret that isnt your pinky, the sound would come out half muted

I'm in love with you I have been playing acoustic guitar for the last 10 years and I finally had a chance to buy a bass ( I was thinking about buying a eletric guitar, but I saw a used bass for sale with an amp and everything) and I couldnt be more happy So simple, I'm doing so good and I can finaly understand and hear the teorical shirt that never got a chance to get inside my mind playing the same old chords in the acoustic guitar Thank you for the classes !

Josh, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t seem to finger pluck without catching my nails on the end of the pluck I’ve cut them as far as I can and sanding them down to no avail Does it sounds like a technique issue?

My only formal music instruction has been with piano so you can imagine the focus on "The prescribed correct set of notes" that is a song Coming from that and trying to get my autistic brain to understand how you mentally approach playing bass it feels almost improvisational, especially playing to popular songsbrAm I on the right track here? Piano is very precise and there's a black and white distinction between correct and incorrect for playing a song, but Bass looks more like "Groove out in the background staying between the lines of good and bad practices, but having a lot of leeway to just jam out"
