I’m from mainland who came to hk to finish my senior high school study Similar to you ,i want to train my Cantonese at first but every time i talk to my classmates in Cantonese,they reply me in maindarin 😂😂😂

This was good I also found that it's a bit harder to practice Mandarin in Hong Kong because the locals mainly speak in Cantonese, so if I wanted to speak to them in Mandarin, I would have to initiate the conversations in Mandarin
