Has anyone installed these Fox 20 shocks and noticed a real improvement in the vehicle's comfort? The one without the nitrogen tank
brI installed them in my Toyota and neither I nor my family noticed any improvement Nothing
brI tried to ask Fox support for help but no one helped us Comment from : @lucasmbot |
TFL is not really very knowledgeable at all about off-roading and shocks FOX guys were good but the comparisons shoudl have been done using similar vehicles This felt like a marketing piece for FOX Comment from : @chandne |
This is a pretty useless comparison ! It should be same model and same tires to see the difference Comment from : @artemkhachatryan5185 |
I have an F150 Is there any trade off getting the 30 vs the 20 other than cost? Or would I lose some sort of towing/payload or ride comfort? Or is it just strictly better in every way on and off road, just more expensive/overkill? I'm driving in the city and suburbs 95 of the time Comment from : @DanRichter |
Fox shocks on a jeep wrangler- absolutely terrible! I bought a new JKU Willy’s in 2017 and the fox 20 lasted 1 week! Never experience such poor shocks! Driving over speed bumps at 3mph the rear would get airborne and crash back down!brDriving on sand dunes it couldn’t climb anything! brbrObviously changed for Teraflex falcons and never looked back! brbrCouldn’t even be dishonest enough to sell them- chucked the junk in the bin! Comment from : @imonaslot1 |
The best Jeep is a Tacoma Comment from : @Jaredius |
Fantastic video, thanks! I really liked the back-to-back comparisons from stock up to the 30s I didn't realize how much value upgraded shocks could provide to me until I drove my Wrangler JLU Sahara in the Oregon sand dunes for the first time recently Comment from : @Rooster1a2 |
My Hardrock Rubicon wear 20 Fox narrow tire no lift , short knob Manual transmission and SPEC clutch upgrade Obviously I set my JK for drift rally style and not for climbing 🤟🏻 Comment from : @WarIII941 |
Hah Redo the whole thing with each jeep on 33s Comment from : @user-sm7cp4eu6e |
Not a fan of fox at all I just went to kings Comment from : @Fitter4life |
That $6,000 kitlooks great, but hearing their gladiator suspension squeaking @ ((13:02)) gave me a good laugh How does one even afford to frivolously spend 6k on shocks, that's what I want to know Fox Comment from : @cgoods2078 |
Comparison is not fair for the following reasons br1 They used a jk with a beat up stock shocks and stock tires on the first jeepbr2 For 20 shocks they brought a jeep with 33s and jks suspension br3 For 25 there was a gladiator which rides different from the jkbr4 God knows what tire pressures they were running on each Jeep brbrI have the 20 with reservoirs on my jk They don’t ride any different from the rubicon shocks Only difference is the fox corner flatterbrbrMost positive reviews u’ll find on the internet are by people who don’t Offroad their JeepsbrbrYou can get better shocks for the fraction of the pricebrbrSadly this is an overly advertised brand Comment from : @MegaNizniz |
I have the Fox 20 IFP shocks on my JKU Rubicon They're a really great shock I don't need more than the 20 shocks, I do mostly slow rock crawling and trails, my shocks just aren't getting very hot Comment from : @quintili1 |
I wonder how the fox shocks on the mojave stack up with the 25 and 30? Id assume better performer than the 20 Comment from : @stephencarbajal5657 |
That JK looks so weak Way to low to the ground JL looks 100 times better stock Comment from : @seadoo4life127 |
21 Mojave, front Fox shocks are creaking bad and being replaced under warranty, on back order from china of course Dealer said not the first bad set they have seen Thumbs down! Pure junk Glad my jeep is stock and warranty honored Comment from : @peterc3672 |
Hi guys! Great video! I noticed in the Jeep Jl that it had a Rugged Ridge snorkel I also noticed that you were able to mount 5 inch lights near the snorkelbrbrCan you please tell me how you mounted the Mopar 5 inch light on the side of the Snorkel I have a 2019 JLUR with the same snorkel and I want to mount those lights on my JeepbrbrThank you! Comment from : @claudeperrault4164 |
21 Mojave, front Fox shocks being replaced under warranty, very disappointed Comment from : @peterc8979 |
If money were no concern the Fox 3 are so good looking, if they perform half as good that'd be great I'm in Fox 20 on my F-150 (3years, still like them) and about to put the 20 with a Clayton 25" lift on my wife's '22 JL Comment from : @lincolnmicrophonellc |
Never waste your time and $ on the pos 20 shocks Comment from : @charleshenson4183 |
30 All the way regardless on any application IF you can afford it Comment from : @ixibladeixi2639 |
what lift was on the factory performance 30? what were the wheel/tire specs? and will the factory 30 fit on a Gladiator Sport? Comment from : @anotherstar8125 |
I want to keep my jeep stock height Should I go with fox shocks or OE? Comment from : @dvgayle1 |
I would highly suggest not buy fox shocks mine started leaking after 10 miles and fox doesn't want to stand behind there products Comment from : @edsonnenberg9128 |
I'm in love with those Fox 30 shocks! They are expensive as hell, but I bet they are worth every penny Does Fox make a 20 shock kit for Chevrolet Express van 3500? I will need new shocks ans suspension work in a few months for mine and I would love to have great sus components BTW, it is abd will remain on stock height, I want them to keep their performance under full load when I hit long Highway journeys (3300 pounds of payload in a 6500 punds van on a highway in Mexico will fatigue any stock or OEM replacement shock in less than 100 miles)brJust experienced that shock fatigue on my last journey and it was awfull, I was already empty and going back home but I had to cut my speed from 90mph to 50mph because the vehicle felt unstable And thanks! I now know why that happened Comment from : @69sound81 |
Installed them Made the ride rougher did not work For me Comment from : @CCCC-tq8yo |
Never seen any trail in AZ look like that though I wanna see what it’s like on a rocky trail Comment from : @bobbybrady7872 |

Is the JK ith the 25 lift equivalent to a JL with the mopar 2 inch lift? Comment from : @flossin5025 |
Fox shocks on my f150 smoothest riding truck I’ve ever ridden in Comment from : @jacobdavis6200 |
I have a 2018 jeep Sahara JL 20 turbo I picked up 2021 Jeep gladiator Fox suspension, will it on my Jeep Sahara? if not please explain and if there’s a way I can reach out to you a number of something Comment from : @willboyd8020 |
Those 25’s seem like the ideal setup there, either that or go full on external bypass if you’re already planning on spending over 1k per shock, instead of the internal bypass for similar cost But the internal bypass is great if you had it dialed in custom and don’t want to bother with worrying about adjustments too much Comment from : @alexmills1329 |
Making your employee to bring his personal ANYTHING for such thing is such a cheap move by the manager/company Comment from : @eskanderx1027 |
b is for build needs your help fox lol Comment from : @cafe88racer53 |
I have the 25's on my JL with 25" lift and 37's Worth the $3k? Probably They are fantastic shocksbrAre the 30's really worth DOUBLE that?! Noway Comment from : @Michael_00001 |
The rebound damping on the 25s looked wrong which is why it was pogoing so much The rebound wasn't matched to the compression settings for slow speed compression which was maybe too soft for the rebound valving Comment from : @kingsqueak1 |
How do the different suspensions affect towing capacity Do they at all? Comment from : @tfwoodcraft |
Best video TFL has ever posted! 5 out of 5 stars! Comment from : @dad3562 |
I think 33s on 2 inch lift is a good all around driver for a JK On a JL, 35s and 2 inch is the way to go Comment from : @AustinH7 |
Andre is an awesome journalist but a drama queen at times 😄😆 Comment from : @Dsrterra |
Best review of the 30 on the internet so far Thanks Comment from : @captainbarnicle8548 |

Bilstein best shock for the money Comment from : @canalesivany |
I’ve been buying FOX products for decades and I have had nothing but good luck I would love to try some adjustable shocks on my 2021 Jeep Rubicon Comment from : @DUNEATV |
Here is my question TFL: With a stock new JLU Rubicon they have the 20 Fox, would it be worth the cost to go up to the 25 like the Mojave comes with? These all have a lift and I was hoping they didn't have it and do the comparison that way to see what the difference is Thanks Comment from : @darksideemt |
I use the 20 series on my JKU 35 Rock Krawler xfactor and love the suspension I thought about going to the 25 but found that upgrading the bump stops to Metal Clock’s DUROSPRING MICROCELLULAR and can’t be happier We don’t feel that hard impact anymore As for the side to side I use swayloc remote dual rate swaybar and I’m able to switch depending on terrain what keeps my wheels down and my Jeep solid when I need it I’d buy and recommend the 20 performance over and over again Comment from : @rilopez825 |
Just stay stock and buy more ammo Comment from : @deserthawk4178 |
Nice video I’d prefer seeing aftermarket shocks and performance on a 2021 F-150, compared with the Gen 3 Ford Raptor 37 Of course, there has to be a whoop section 😎 Comment from : @rp3823 |
I love fox and jeeps of all kinds and eras and TFL but holy cow 6 grand??? and that dont even include the lift??? sweet jesus Comment from : @finnmalloy9675 |
Do you think you guys could do one of these comparing steering stabilizers???? Comment from : @dyzard43 |
Interesting cut-aways and demo - get a better idea of compression ratio and valves with heat, but no bladder instead of floating piston Comment from : @yorkchris10 |
This is not an independent review Alot of Marketing BS Why didnt fox just give the Jeeps to you to drive and make your own review and judgementbrA marketing exercise by Fox salesmen is not independent Comment from : @ninoloso |
Cannot wait to do the "Jeep wave" from my Bronco, as the "Wrangler Bro's'" stare in envy Comment from : @desertmike680 |
I would be more inclined to test the results if they used the same Test Vehicle, This method is going out of there way to fool people into thinking they will get more than what they will pay for for each upgrade Comment from : @xmhkillz |
I don't know how yall do it everytime I start researching new mods yall come out with a video that answers the questions I have Comment from : @sequoia4567 |
Want that gladiator Comment from : @vinceedwards6213 |
My Gladiator Rubicon came with 20” fox shock Are they similar to the 20 smooth ifp? Comment from : @KTMcaptain |
They have a lot of managers lol Comment from : @luky61 |
Be interested to see how a stock gladiator on 37s would ride compared to a last gen wrangler on 33s with 30s Tyres and wheelbase play the biggest role here Comment from : @stevenjalopnik1342 |
Great video Comment from : @billybodacious2337 |
The 25's are the choice at half the price of 30's Comment from : @Malc664 |
Fox should do that for the Tacoma too Comment from : @kylewehrsig4856 |
Great/informative video Just so expensive! Comment from : @willwilliams141 |
I really appreciate these aftermarket reviews TFL Comment from : @preet6936 |
I love fox products Never been disappointed! Comment from : @nitroxide17 |
Great review What would you put on a JKU Sport to be used for overlanding but also snow plowing, so needs to maintain a close to stock height? Comment from : @markpagejr7548 |
The JT Rubicons come with Fox 20 from the factory Comment from : @robinsonmac |
off-road, moto, mtbfox, fox, fox Comment from : @danielmaybee68 |
I think Andre had gas station food this morning Comment from : @jaimealvarez4722 |
Great video Andre! If shocks typically last around what 60k-100k miles would that be the same for the beastly 30 ($6 Grand) shocks? At that price for mileage ratio I could never justify spending that much If they are rebuildable how much would that be? Ill stick with the bilstein 5100's/2 in lift/33" tire combo for Daily Driver and offroading/overlanding/camping use for a fraction of the price! Comment from : @clwade10 |
Hey Chris Burandt! Thought I remembered seeing the fox snow guys at that on IG Comment from : @tanner_ij |
yes!! been thinking of upgrading to my shocks, thanks for the info andre! i hope more aftermarket company’s invite you to their events Comment from : @pepper508 |

What no Driving for Roman 🙁 Comment from : @sha6mm |
So the take away here is, we are all driving around on stock crap Manufacturers do not put on quality parts and we are expected to replace these parts ASAP or suffer ;) Comment from : @WW-wf8tu |
Y'all should have brought in the frankentruck just to compare Comment from : @Stridsvagn-PanzerKommandant |
Nnnnnnaaaa don't fall for it whit bigger tires and low psi it going to ride better Comment from : @leonellopez185 |
I think the JL 2 door Willys is perfect with its 32s and limited slip Comment from : @jakethesnake1503 |
So this is a tire test oh boy , I guess Comment from : @kennethjinkins8967 |
I thought Jeep put the fox shocks on the Mojave edition to go fast and jump like the ford raptor or trophy truck But I see none of that here Comment from : @stevewilcoxson7173 |
Was not expecting to see Chris Burandt in this video!! Very cool Comment from : @roremster |
They're apparently going to ignore that the stock shocks have76,112 miles on them Seems like that by itself would cause 'shock degradation', no? 2:10 Comment from : @Kcducttaper1 |
Great video preciate the feedback there look too expensive for me I think I'll stick with the bilstein shocks Comment from : @mcjrzeus |
My 2013 Silverado 1500 has Fox 25 front and 20 resi rears They are fine, but not as impressive as I had hoped when I spent $2000 on them Current truck, 2021 Titan Pro-4x upgraded to Bilstein 6112 25" front and 5160 20" rear are better in nearly every scenario at $800 I'm not a Fox hater at all My mountain bikes all use Fox forks/shocks Comment from : @nismomike3182 |
Convenient they used the longest wheel base to demonstrate the best shocks Comment from : @Beary98 |
For the algorithm Comment from : @kingpin3919 |
Hello, what was the lift height and make on the gladiator? Thanks! Comment from : @Hoplite57 |
Nice video thank you It would have been better if the different shocks were demonstrated on the same model Jeep! Comment from : @joezephyr |
I love my 20 for my F150! I tracked the prices and a few years ago bought the complete eibach front and rears for $600 during black friday 50k miles later still going strong off road…though I probably need a rebuild 🤣 Comment from : @mreconomist1402 |
I bought the fox 20 off road suspension leveling kit for my 2020 f150, definite improvement! Comment from : @thehumungus1985 |
It was jsut a advertisement for the fox system Not a Test Jsut garbage Comment from : @AverageReviewsYT |
Jeep hasn’t made a good product in years I aM tired of all the junk car companies are putting out I said I would never buy a Toyota Guess what, my next vehicle will be a Toyota Comment from : @toby7291 |
They used a gladiator that skews the results 🙄🙄 Comment from : @AverageReviewsYT |
I need some Fox 25's for my Diesel Wrangler we love running at Silver Lake Sand Dunes Comment from : @TheRamGuy |
Awesome video again Andre It would’ve been cool to see the set up for an F-150 on that course too Comment from : @Ramblin_Rob |
