I purchased a TP-Link AX300 3 unit mesh for a 2400sqft two story home I replaced a TPlink single standard style router because it just could not reach every part of the house with above 2 bars My ISP is a 1gig service The speed check routinely showed between 750 and 980 mps I also have setup my house as a smart home Almost every room, light , fan, and garage door can be controlled with Alexa There are 65 devices that connect to my router, this includes business laptop, personal laptops and phones/ tablets The previous TP-Link router stated it could handle up to 50 devices I knew I had more devices that it said it could handle so that is why I switched However, after installing the advertised super duper mesh system which states it can handle up to 150 devices I am lucky to get 300mps and 120 with a malwarebytes vpn connection When watching YouTube, I can now only watch with the smallest window If I go any bigger, it stops while buffering or the audio and video get out of sync, or it gets herky jerky Since I also have to use it for work 10 hours a day, I have to stop dong regular work while on a Teams call otherwise everything goes so slow I often think it has locked up Have I installed this incorrectly or can I add on a router as show during this video Right now I am very disappointed with the operation of this mesh and ready to go back to the old style system Thanks for any help Comment from : @BobsYourUncle429 |

Question : what’s more powerful? Wireless mesh system or 2-3 routers connected together with the one mesh feature ? Cheers ! Comment from : @lucenache85 |

If you have a mesh will it slow down people using Ethernet on the router Comment from : @Butch_2k |
|
Let’s just cut the bull…ALWAYS buy a mesh system regardless of the size of your house,if you going to spend 200 dollars on a router spend it instead on a mesh system,BECAUSE the mesh System it’s a router anyway and if you don’t want to use the extra hubs you can use one only and they usually stronger than a normal router anywayI wished I knew this before I bought a wifi 6 router with 6 antennas from tp link(absolute crap) and than I had to spend more money on a duo mesh system wifi 6 tp link X50 that works flawlessly,I can now watch 4K on my bedroom without any problemsCut a long story short WHY COMPROMISE?!!!just ALWAYS buy a mesh system so that you get the BEST coverage Comment from : @COCACOLAwithpizza |

Hello, interesting video, but I'm curious what you recommend for purchase for use in the house and of course another building, the garage and the rooms above it, or is it better to get the AX WIFI Router, maybe the AX WIFI Mesh, in which case it's better to buy both and somehow get rid of drilling holes and pulling the cable if that's not possible? Comment from : @MegaTadys0 |
|
aaand TP Link is under consideration to be banned in the US Comment from : @CerealforProtein |

I’m undecided as to which route to go Urgently, I have an Xfinity gateway in the basement and two xPods on the main floor at either ends of the house I was thinking of getting the Deco XE75 Pro 2 Pack, but I’m und]sure if it will cover the main floor as I have some outside cameras If I go the traditional route I expect to need range extenders and see that the AXE5400 with WiFi 6E costs quite a bit I’m trying to stay around $200 as I want to return the rental equipment and have it paid for in a year Any suggestions/considerations? Comment from : @smerdonw |

A very confused soul - very little useful information Comment from : @JoseRodriguez-tb1js |

Why do people still use gaming as an excuse for recommending wifi setups? Seriously if you need low latency just buy a long ethernet cable and some cable clips / raceway WiFi is for watching tv, phone stuff or browsing stuff you don't care if it takes a fifth of a second shorter, not gaming at the level that latency that you need the peformance low latency gives you brbrGreat video though Perfectly explained Comment from : @lucascubile7141 |
|
How do you connect the mesh system to the internet? Dont you need a traditional router as well? Comment from : @havivelbaz |

My experience with AXE 5400 has been 20kbps download speeds when 25feet from the meshed unit that’s literally 10feet above the one connect to the ONT box via cat8 These TP-Link mesh units don’t produce enough wifi to even download a 1GB update in under a day DO NOT RECOMMEND! Comment from : @BuddMonster420 |
|
i kinda wish for routers they'd be a bit more upfront on the signal strength or antenna strength i guess it would be calledbrbri had a netear XM500 which had amazing antenna's good wifi through the house but the software was a hot pile of garbage for about 3 years and after some angry call's to my ISP which in the end turned out wasn't the ISP's fault was the damn router throwing a hissyfit i swapped to a asus AX82 which also claims to have great antenna's on the box but the XM500's were definetly stronger it has compensated by not causing a single issue for the past 6 years (appart from that time asus pushed a faulty background update file and cripled the internet for a quarter of the planet :P) Comment from : @anub1s15 |

So you don't cover the TP-Link EasyMesh system at all? That could be the best of both worlds: Connecting multiple routers as a mesh, even with ethernet backhaul if you want Really a great option if you need more LAN ports, so you don't have to invest in switchesbr( google for 'TP-Link EasyMesh Devices' ) Comment from : @winandd8649 |
