Our electric bill just doubled last month (I live in central Mississippi) It doesn't get too cold here often, but last month the temp dropped a couple of days We used our fireplace on those days and lowered the heater to 62*Somehow this didn't seem to help and as I stated, the electric bill doubled :( We will definitely try out your tips Thank you for posting!
