Those certain coins are indeed dark, but no need in letting that still hurt us Make a buck of it, keep the history alive so people can continue to learn from it and see it, very correct what Harry said Comment from : @killahh1 |

Why people like these coins? Well, the regime only lasted 12 years, which was far too long in terms of evil, but short for the coins I collect the 5 Deutsche Mark coins that I remember in circulation between 1948 and 1974 They got taken out of circulation, because the silver content was at one point much higher than the face value During the time of the Silberadler (Silver Eagle) millions were minted in the four different mints in Germany and there are still many about, but that won't be the case forever People don't necessarily collect certain coins with a sinister thought, but because it was history In this case, though, I can understand Harry's thought pattern Comment from : @libelle8124 |

Wish I had seen this 3 months ago I am from the future, the spot prices of silver and Gold have gone 🆙🆙🆙 Beware!!! Today “March 23, 2024 I saw a scam on Etsy! Someone is selling replica Morgan dollars; 10 for $3500 br# if it’s too good to be true it is more likely that it is a scam The add posted; said that they are circulated and dirty Rule of thumb # 1 All pre 2021 Morgan Dollars are circulated and if they are cleaned, they will depreciate in value Shame!!! They look like the real McCoy But, ,,, always read between the lines,,, small print,,, says “REPLICA “br✌🏼🇺🇸 Comment from : @youngamerican488 |

I happened to inherit a lot of coins from my grandmother, who's husband was in the British Royal navy I believe the oldest coin from the collection is an east india comany rupee from 1813 and another bronze rupee from the 1850's The coins, among other things are probably what inspired me to become an archaeologist Comment from : @CouchMethod |
|
|
These Reichsmark are quite interesting You can see how Hitlers power consolidates over the years Coins are in circulation for decades and at the beginning someone in the Reichsbank must have thought "this chancellor doesn't last long": Some coins have no swastika, some have two tiny swastika used as spacers in the inscription Later they used the Nazi-eagle with the big swastika Comment from : @gargoyle7863 |

In 1852, three cents was the postage rated for a half-ounce carried less than 3000 miles -- IF you prepaid the postage If you sent the letter unpaid, the rate was five cents to be collected from the recipientbrbrIt was not until 1855 that prepayment of postage by postage stamp was mandatorybrbrThree cents was actually a reduction in postage rates from the first US postage stamps in 1847, when it was five centsbrbrEventually, the regular letter rate dropped to two cents and the weight allowance went up to one ounce nationwide Greater literacy and commerce led to more letters and more efficient postal operations to allow for a considerable decrease in the real cost of sending mailbrbrThe last time the regular letter rate was the cents was in 1958 After that, the nominal price went up ever more frequently to match post-WWII inflation Comment from : @snarky_user |
