Farthings always remind me of that scene in Robin Hood - I mentioned it to someone the other day and it was lost on them I metal detect in New England, and while I've dug easily a couple hundred halfpennies, I've only found 2 farthings (both 1749 KGII Mermaid coins - interesting history there if you're unfamiliar with 1749 coinage) They're tough to find in the ground! How can you sell a PCGS graded coin like the Kennedy half dollar for under $1000 when it cost around $5000 for the grading ? Or do coin dealers get a lower price for grading a big bunch of coins ?
