For those that don’t know, SSDI is a lot easier after 50, due to criteria changes!!! Was receiving SSDI before becoming 100 P/T!!!!! I went on SSDI at 50!

They Denied me and I'm 100 P&T and UNEMPLOYEBILITY I haven't worked In 4 years I did everything properly With evidence of Disabilty was denied 2x And when I spoke with the administrative law judge They made the final decision And I was denied again So I am in a third appealr It's very hard I had a lawyer during this whole process

i am currently finishing up my second year of waiting for my SSDI with having 100 va rating, and i will tell you that the SSDI judges are MORONS they dont read the file in front of them, so you better be ready to mention about every 5 seconds that you ARE a disabled vet with a rating and the proof is right in front of them or they will likely MISS that huge file of paper all together (this is what happened to me, so dont try the crazy card on me it truely happens) be sure its mentioned, and this is one instance you will want to make sure your rating is well known!! hope this helps someone peace

When I was about to undergo a bone marrow transplant, A few months after being diagnosed with Leukemia in 2017, my 12 weeks of FMLA was expiring and my employer (was working as a govt contractor at the time) had reduced my pay to 60, I applied for SSDI and was approved in less than a month I was still getting my military retirement pay and 100 VA disability I received the SSDI for about a year and a half; even for a few months after I went back to work, as I was on a “trial return to work”

You forgot to mention date last insured and onset dates Even if you haven't worked in over 10 years as long as you had enough credits and you can prove your disabled prior to your DLI ending

i've watched many videos so far i have 100 disability as a veteran i have a law group for my first attempt for SSDI brbri am currently going through the process everyone seems to know how it works, and they don't brbrIt's best to START with a law group for SSDI, no matter if you are 100 like i am, or notbrbrThere are a hundred things or more to get you SSDI You don't have to lose your limbs or anything SSDI is easier to get if you have medical records and that's the bottom line

If you are recieving social security at age 62 or later your not eligble for ssdi you can't draw both but you can try for ssi and the chances are denial just my opinion

Applied for ssdi in August of 2020, took 5 months even though I told them I was 100 P&T Got denied Appealed it, got denied again Was told they acknowledge I have injuries that hinder me working, but they feel I can still work Even with at the time I initially applied I was 80, but was TDIU I later got myself up to 100 with additional service connected disabilities So now I'm not sure what to do other than get a lawyer And most of the ones I talked to, say I make too much due to my 100 VA pay

I was finally awarded 100 p&t in December and my SSDI was approved on January 6th However, the SSDI came thru due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis that’s has been deemed Service Connected from Desert SHIELD/STORM, so compassionate allowance pushed my claim thru faster There’s plenty to read up on with the SSDI, but was much easier than I expected
