So I’m a 100 permanent and total disabled veteran 3 years ago my pancreas began failing and my bone marrow is bad So I applied for SSDI I receive $5200 per month from the VA I went to the eye appointment that the social security set up for me and the Dr said I was legally blind Would I be getting paid as a blind person which is $2500 I believe you mentioned?

Good evening, Matt SSDI does not pay near enough We have worked for years to earn our retirement and unfortunately, like in my case, it got cut short because of my disability It’s not my fault I’m a disability I would much rather be working Unfortunately, I cannot I think it’s sad that we all not just SSDI have worked so hard for our money only to get screwed out of it Have a great day❤❤

I too am on s SDI I hurt myself at work I don't have enough quarters and even after I retire to collect my social security I only get $940 a month I can't even get a part-time job How can anyone live off that?

Hey Matt, There’s several things I have not heard from either side No one wants to talk about Seniors, Disabled, LowIncome, Veteran’s at all when it comes to who you should vote for Neither side really says a word on the American People It’s hard to vote when neither side gives a dam about you as a person I thought they worked for us the PEOPLE? I barley can survive on what I earned my hole life and now they want to take more and give less This Country is so screwed up God help us all

I am 62 I worked and paid social security since I was 18 I got disabled in 2008 and had to fight 4 years for mine Finally got it in 2012 They kept my back pay and threatened denying my claim completely if I protested I started out just a little over $1000here in 2024 I receive $1392roughly a $343 raise over the last 12 yearsrougly $2853 raise per yearshameful

I was 35 when i got disabled It did take a while to get i I had to get a lawyer and fill alot of paperwork I was about to give up when a lady called me from social security and as sick as i was she pushed me to push on I hope she was blessed for that

Many are way below average, such as myself and daughterbr I end up on ssdi at 54 due to injury so I got penalized alot
