Our neighborhood has a group rate for propane 1 time a year the rate is negotiated (a neighbor has taken the lead in this and signs for it) others just verify the correct rate is in your account This started as a contractors rate who also installed the buried tanks

I have a question How do you save on car repairs and maintenance? We own our car paid off We do our own oil changes, but what about the other services that only the shop will do? Do you go to a certain shop use coupons or what I can't believe the cost of a oil change these days I'm in El Paso TX

My monthly budget for my husband and i is $1600/month We moved to Ecuador! Sometimes its about location! We have a 3 bedroom house we rent and eat out at least 5 times a week We dont have a car because the bus and metrorail system is AMAZING! (30 cents a ride for under 65 and 15 for over!!!) Oh and the CDs pay upwards of 105!
Comment from : @jamielivingston7765

@jamielivingston7765
I live in Ecuador and we get a full lunch A soup, a choice between 2-3 main dishes and a juice for $2-3 And the soup on the table withing 2 minutes They bring the main right when you finish the soup or sooner Its amazing! You get a homecooked meal for next to nothing!

@terryhenderson424
In the recent, growing movement against processed foods it is said that the average American eats 3 snacks per day; and this doesn't include beverafes that arent tap water I have taken a pen to some grocery receipts to mark all the items which were not honest food; frozen mostly prepared foods do not count, frozen jalapeño poppers do count even if you use them as a side, deli foods count, and non-food items count Tally the the cost of the marked items as a target reduction opportunitybrbrWe havent purchased soda pop as anything other than a treat we put in the cart without looking at the cost since early '22 in looking on line, a lotmof soda pop has come down in price; we can be higher locally though But, 1 pound of granulated sugar has about 2 cups, a 4lb bag of Great Value costs $314 making 1lb or 2 cups about $79 As we leave the summer Kool-Aide season a Kool-Aide packet without sweetener costs between $25 a d $40 (if you buy frequently, pick your Kool-Aide packet store carefully) So for between $104 and $118 you can make 64 ounces, basicaly 2Liters, of Kool-Aide per the directions Compare this number to 2Liter bottles of sods pop A 12 pack of 12 ounce cans provides (12oz×12 cans) 144 ounces of soda pop; name brand half racks are costing between $899 and $999 per Goggle It takes 225 batches of 64 ounce Kool-Aide to make 144 ounces (144oz/ 64oz) making the cost of 144oz of Kool-Aide between $234 and $267 $267 is a far cry from 899; six dollars and thirty two cents worthnof differencebrbrSimilar savings can be found in the snack world depending upon how much portioning you are willing to do, how much from scratch cooking you are willing to do, and what snack foods you are willing to eat Of course, the more you do yoirself in general the more you save

@wjb-wi6dt
I do use a credit card for convenience and points, and I understand exactly what you are talking about! I use a budgeting app based on the envelope system, and every purchase gets recorded right away - so at least I can see my budgeted monthly amount and how the purchase will impact it This works better for me personally for regular life - if I carry cash, I find it too easy to spend the tiny amounts, like a soda at the gas station I don't pull my credit card out for something like that I suppose it depends on how our brains work!

It's possible for deodorants to go bad I stock up on things when they're on sale I learned by doing that that deodorants go bad and stink after a while Now I'll only stock up about 2-3brI've never had subscriptionsbrWhen my brother moved in with me, during his last days, I got cable for him I'd never had it for myself He enjoyed it, but he didn't make it quite a month before he passed When I called to have the cable cancelled, I was told that since it wasn't even an entire month that there would be no charge The word is thankful That's what I feltbrYears and years ago, I tried eating out of my pantry I challenged myself to wait the longest I possibly could to go to the grocery store I got to 6 weeks and decided to try for 1 more week All I had left was a can of unused water chestnuts that hadn't made it into a Chinese meal once, a can of pizza sauce, a jar of salsa, etc The cupboards were really bare Woke up early the next day and felt a need to go grocery shopping at 7:00 am I never went to the store that early and I'd already decided to wait so I didn't go to the grocery store By 9:00 am the whole area was covered by an ice storm There was no traffic, no taxis, buses, trains, subways NOTHING ay all!!! I lived in an apartment building that had a small grocery store in it There were 2 problems with that They cost about 3 times more than regular grocery stores And, there were no delivery trucks on the road either, so the store's stock started noticeably falling They were simply running out of food to sell I learned my lesson: keep a stock of food ready, no matter how much you try to stretch a grocery stash!!!

@GillerHeston
The avg American is having a tough time, I know I am not alone There are others in same position as me By certain statistics: 22 of americans have no retirement savings 64 are worried that they will not have money in latter years while 47 of adults who are not yet retired think they have to work part-time in retirement How can I best grow the 100k I have saved seperately outside retirement access which of course had depleted over the years?

I’ve always done breakfasts and lunches from home (with the rare one out) I didn’t have the means when younger and now I can’t imagine spending it on work day lunches We are working on making a special travel experience happen next year and I’d rather have that than a few more meals out

My partner and I gave ourselves the illogical challenge of lowering a two adult household with a 100 lb dog and cat budget to $250 a month We also lowered our monthly rent (including electric, water, sewer, and WiFi) in a gated community to $450 living on a beautiful scenic lake So we definitely spend less…thx for all your ideas

@kimberleybeuchaw4087
Wow, when we were a family of 5 (3 of that boys) I never spent that much in a month We live in a high cost of living area USDA $1500? I think our highest might have been $600 a month This was breakfast things for them, lunches for all of us, and dinners Sometimes they would eat at school and we never had reduced lunches, so even that extra would not have made it to $1500 in a month People also say eating healthy options is more expensive, and I would argue that one also Shopping the outer perimeter our food cost went down as we ate more sustainable meals That is including meat that I could prep into meals Prepacked is the worst and really more expensive

Due to your awesome advice, we have reduced our electricity bill by 20 percent year to year brbrBecause of age and auto immune disease, we order our groceries on line for pickup I found out that we do not buy anthing on impulse anymore because even if we shopped with a list which we always did, there was still "temptation" all around😊brbrThanks for all you do
Comment from : @lindapowell4221
