You should always lie in Lies of P, or more accurately you should make the more human choice, which includes lying to be polite or make people happy or, rarely, revealing an important truth related to a side quest (which will grant humanity as if you told a lie)brbrThere is literally no reason not to lie or gain humanity There are no drawbacks to gaining humanity and no benefits to keeping low humanity There is a late game choice that guarantees a particular ending even if you have high humanity, so there is literally no gameplay reason to ever play the game without gaining humanity, only the curiosity of finding out what characters will say if you tell the truth
