So what about people who lie in order to hurt someone? They've got to be conscious enough of the lying so they can plot out the amount of hurt bestowed on another, right? My cousin's lying is meant to hurt people Comment from : @shell1756 |

Lying can sometimes be an important self defense mechanism in various scenarios if you feel vulnerable so it is necessary sometimes to lie in order to gain or protect, but most of the time even if it causes a loss telling the truth is ultimately the best strategy in the long run for 3 main reasons, 1 You do not have to think of anything to make up so it's efficient, it just flows 2 It's simple and can be relayed in very few words, mother nature is on your side by choosing not to add more chaos to an already chaotic world through lies (think entropy) 3 You do not have to defend it once told, people will find out the truth at their own pace Lying has its time and place but knowing when that is, that's the problem people struggle with Wisdom I live by 🧠 Comment from : @richarddunn164 |

Hello! It is a nice topic, I am very simple person, I think the people tell a lie for their own benefits,A new question accours in my mind, how we can stop this unpleasant ,criminal habit from human's mind ,in this moderen technical era ,can the scientists invent the device which reads/detects the human mind, especially in order to distinguish between lie & truth floats in our minds Is the invention of this unique device possible in the future? Thanks to bbc for a nice topic❤ Comment from : @syedattaullahatta4055 |

Being polite is a uncontrollable defence mechanism in everyone, that is why we lie For those who have children, how many times have you lied to them ? Just think about it Even to our own friends, sometimes we lie to fit in, not to disappoint someone, to make others or someone happy The problem is when you start lying to yourself Comment from : @ndirangugichuki6260 |
