What’s missing in these reviews is the impact to your vehicle towing capacity Especially if you go with a coil over vs a standard shock replacement As well if your vehicle is a truck with airbags, or spring options I get it jeeps, light trucks vs HD truck applications

Coil Overs look better but they help you get rid of the other spring so it’s easier to work on also

You can still have an IFP in a mono tube shock, like the V2 and Fox 20, they are not emulsion shocks

I have a taco 19 and it rides like shit , set up is 5100 front an back ome 885 coilovers and a 1 inch block in the rear To daily drive this setup is harsh I trail the truck maybe 3-5 times a year? What a softer struts an shock to get a softer ride It’s way to stiff an firm

I have a 2011 Silverado z71 crew cab that i recently installed the bilstein 5100 leveling shocks on Put the snap spring on the highest setting The truck looks greatbut i can't stand the ride it's so stiff every bump is jarring Can you you tell me which shock i should go with to get a smooth ride and keep the same look I don't do much offroading more of a daily live on dirt roads that's abou it I replaced upper and lower ball joints tie rod ends and sway bar links So all i could think it would be is the shocks Never remember it riding that rough Should i put pucks on and some different shocks or go with a rancho quik lift or rc leveling shocks?

Personally I wouldn't buy a shock from a lift co branded shockthey make them as cheap as possible for profitI would purchase shocks from a shock companyI had fabtech shocks and they were total junkbuy a bilstein or eibach for lower end and fox, king, etc for higher endbrbrIt just makes sensebrbrIf I am spending $1000 for set of coilovers I will pick KING setup over RC vertex every day of the week

I was hoping more for a video that explains what each shock does as far as if I am have a Baja truck, “this shock” would be good because it can keep the dampening consistent on a run, or if I was a rock crawler, “this type of shock” would be good because or if I was a daily driver and a weekend light off roader, “ this type of shock would be good because” this video seemed more of a technical explanation which was a little beyond me which is not a hard core off roader so I still don’t know which shock to get for my type of off roading as far as mono tube, coil over, bypass, remote coil over etc

Does the Vertex Coilover ride almost like a stock ride when set at the mildest setting? And also is there a minimum lift height? I own a 2020 Chevy Trail Boss and am considering the Vertex Coilover but would like to add only an additional 2" - 25" on my Trail Boss ride height on the front endbrbr2nd concern is I just purchased a set of Black Rhino Primms 20 x 95s with -12 offset from Custom Offsets and if I decide to go with the Vertex Coiloverswill my wheels fit being that I only want an additional 2" up front? so i’m ordering a rc lift soon, it’s gonna be $200 more for the v2 shocks compared to the n3s i don’t do off-roading other than the occasional hill or dirt roads due it being 2wd does anyone think that i should go ahead and get the v2s? or will i be fine with n3s? which one will be smoother and a better ride

Hi,brI chose a 20 coilover with an external adjustable reservoir from Profender on my SIERRA 2015 62L enginebrAlso upgraded upper arm, added rear upgraded solistic shuckles BUT kept OEM springsbrShocks gas is at 150psi since am using for daily use and sand offroadingbrCar on humps or dampening either feels to stiff when or just bangs when i reduce or increase the "clicker" of the reservoir i cant get the right feel of rebound and of higher speed on sand i feel am loosing control and body rolldo u suggest i check the gas level or springs?

The shock shaft in the Bilstein 5100 is actually bigger than the other 3 it was compared to The outside body is smaller both the shaft thicker and different valve
