Important note : for most banks you need a parent to co-own the student card, in doing so they have full unrestricted access to your purchase history You wouldn’t think this is an issue, but if you have judgmental/helicopter parents you won’t ever hear the end of it and you WILL get sick of it within two weeks

so i didn’t get a credit card until i was 20 i got one with a $500 limit and triple points on gas and groceries i ONLY use what i can pay back just on gas and groceries, and that credit card’s main purpose is to build my credit score it’s been a year and between that credit card and paying off a 2k car loan in six months, my credit score went from not having one at all to 730
