I don’t really get the point of this scheme You’ll be taking out a larger loan amount leading to greater mortgage repayments so how is this going to help people? 😅 brbrAm I missing something? Like if I’m on 43k and what a 240k property and use the standard 45x multiplier I’ll be given a loan up to £193,070 with mortgage repayments being £1128-£1284 So clearly if I wanted to purchase the property using a 5 (or 10) deposit it wouldn’t be possible brbrBut if it’s 55x it would be £236,500 with a monthly mortgage payment of 1381-1494 thereby making a 5 deposit possible brbrBeing on 43k and paying around 1300 each month as a minimum seems far too expensive and so even if one is eligible through the 55x multiplier he’ll still likely be in financial difficulty Of course everyone spends differently and has different outgoings but I think for the most part it would be a struggle brbrCan you or anyone offer some insight? Barclays Premier have offered 55X salary borrowing, you just have to qualify for premier first I wouldn’t feel comfortable borrowing that much personally, stretching the borrowing as far as it will go doesn’t sit right with me Comment from : @Holdeenio |
