Assuming that a guitarist always uses a pick may be statistically supported but, a psychological trick for the fingerstyle electric guitar player would need to be the use a flat pick on bass

good tips - Thanks :) just picked up a bass recently after only really playing guitar and tried these out while listening to the video having the style of plucking explained helped both immediately making it sound better, and making dropping the pick easier Won't lie that I'll probably use Finger 3 quite a bit since I feel I have big enough hands to but I'll keep it in mind too

As a guitarist who recently switched to bass I can confirm that the three fret stretch is way more comfortable I also use almost exclusively my index and my pinky to fret notes, especially when I'm playing closer to the nut All in all, this video contains some great tipsbrbrI'm still not used to listening to the kickdrum as much as I should My instinct is to follow the guitar instead I'm picking up on the snare thing, though

Adam, I am a beginner to bass and was shopping for a new or used bass and just happened to see the video that your friend in Nashville posted with you coming out to help on an album and also help him pick out a new bass for around $1k I just purchased that same bass (Fender 50s Vintera Precision) but used and the previous owner swapped out the neck for a Fender roasted maple Jazz neck I think that’s just fine but I’m wondering what you thought of the action on that bass Don’t you prefer it to be a little lower?
