I cannot believe I watched this whole "Apps for Guitarist" HOPING you would suggest a GOOD guitar tuner APP But NO! I feel unless your guitar is in turn NONE of the APPS you suggested will be worth anything A GOOD guitar tuner APP should have been the very FIRST one talked about

Great information! My favorite app is the amazing slow downer It works with Apple Music I’ve been using it for years It’s not compatible with Spotify anymore That’s why I dropped Spotify and switched to Apple Music

Best play along app I have found is Moises , you can download any song and isolate vocals , guitar , drums , bass , and the best thing is that’s it’s whatever songs you like to play Best practice app I’ve ever seen , I use it to play along with as practice band , and I’m actually playing with the band , Judas priests, Iron Maiden and if I have any issues with any riff or solo I can also isolate the guitar and learn the riff exactly how it’s played on the record Amazing app

Thanks for the list I personally use Guitar Pro a lot to learn new stuff I like to slow down the solo parts and loop it so it gets a little faster each time until I can play it normal speed

I‘m missing one particular type of app Probably it‘s because I‘m not the most gifted musician But do you know any software with which you can record a guitar solo from any stream and it gets the solo transcribed into notes and chords? Thanks in advance

For Android users I recommend "smartChord" to me it is like a Swiss Army knife tuner, chords, metronom, transposing, drum machine and much more plus my very favourite - the songbook Btw many thanks for your professionally made videos

iStroboSoft tuner I love the format Costs a few bucks to purchase but well worth it in my opinion It's replaced all of my other tuners (mando, violin, guitar) that I used to keep in cases and I stopped using the other apps I had experimented with So iStroboSoft is the last one standing for me Thank you for that Apple Music backing track tip, I had never considered that!!

My son is learning , everyday he plays till his fingers blister Sad thing is I have a acoustic electric that's called GABBANELLI, has a fat neck He wants a electric like Ibanez beginner metal head style I live way out in a little town The closest major city is over 2 hour drive So it's hard to get this guitar swapped for a thin necked electric Small amp

HI I am a beginner, my tutor send me a video so that I could listen and watch him playing his guitar Sheet music is not helpful So, what would you recommend me so that I could listen and watch his video and try to play along side with a tablet? I even put title on his video so that it could help me to pick his video and practise And yes, I need to listen and watch with a headphone, so that I could practise in silent My tutor recommended a a steel string guitar with an inbuilt microphone, it looks like an "Ovation" So, I could plug in something and play along thanks

Some other cool apps:br- SongBook Pro: Onsong does not work on Android, this one works on both Android and iOS (for the whole band!)br- Truefire: more geared towards intermediate / advanced players, but has some of the best lesson quality and instructorsbr- Tonally: not strictly for guitar, but allows you to understand chord progressions and composition based on circle of fifths

Man, I am enjoying the videos on acoustic guitar I have been flipflopping on either Orangewood or Yamaha but really want a torrified guitar You guys don't have orangewood but there is a Yamaha FSX800C for sale Though this Yamaha is not torrified I am trying to get PUSHED over the edge to get it It's on sale!
