Ive been watching a lot of videos and decided to pass on the cheap Martins just based on off the shelf times i picked one up and after watching a bunch of videos i feel like this sounds definitely like a $450 guitar, but not in the same class with the LL16 i ordered or the real Martins or Taylors

All ya have to do is listen to the inferior tone of this FORMICA HPL garbage that's a ripoff aimed at those who unfortunately can't afford the real deal !brI owned a 000x1ae model, ALL of theses X series laminates are prone to top deck cracking Some even exhibit bridge lifting and other anomalies Thus guy touting this crap makes ne think he works for the company brIf ya really want a taste of Martin sound save ya pennies and go to GC and purchase a Special D Classic on sale at $779, lists at just over a grand I recently own one and it's a fair price for an axe that is a universe away in tone, projection and quality that only a WOOD guitar will bring you It's a shame and a SHAM that this XSeries crap even has the Martin name on it It's a no wonder there a sooo many used ones up for sale in the used marketplace Martin should be ashamed producing such an instrument especially in light of their haunted reputation!brJus sayin, Bikergeoff

Didn't know Martins were made in Mexico Wanted a D18 or D28 for years Saw the DM model back in 2002 and bought that Still have it It's got better with age This model is nice enough Nice review There was a sound I liked that some acoustics have That woody/bass sound, mostly associated with old guitars This is nice but a bit too 'matalic' in sound That picking in front of the mic sounds really great!

As far as I'm concerned, you're arrogantly ignorant with regard to "luxury" guitar brands First off, Martin is not such a brand They produce various factory-made guitars designed for distinct markets - cheap to expensive, relatively speaking Some of their factory guitars have nice appointments and good tone wood Not to suggest they do not have quality luthiers, or make the occasional custom instrument, but their biggest claim to fame is a long history in the business Because of this, there exist some very old guitars that command a high price

I have three TaylorsMartin special streetmaster will be delivered tomorrow sowe'll see Really love my Taylors so hopefully the Martin will be different but as good as or better I haven't checked out any Gibsons yetmaybe if I hit the lottery or actually get good enough in my playing to justify the cost The Martin in the video definitely sounds better finger picked than strummed

The Guitar seems to be quite a bargin compared to other ones who doesn’t have even a tuning device included I'm now in acoustic guitars and took a look at the Sheeran by Lowden line up as it was stated that the manufacturer is well known for good products But they also leave out everything not essential At the same time they cost more so it has todo with materials or the Martins are produced in China 😏
