EGO rocks 🥇 Comment from : @Lightnin42 |
Awesome video I wonder how the Dewalt 20v compares with the 60v Does the 60v cut stuff that the 20v can't cut? That would be my main criterion Comment from : @debradaugherty8287 |
I can tell from the wink of this guy that he is very caring and experienced, and of course I watch almost all of his videos I love this channel and have bought several DeWalt tools because of him😂 Comment from : @egch1yearago21 |
After watching this Video, I'm buying the Greenworkssaid the dog with the funny glasses sipping coffee Comment from : @soothsayer2406 |
Just in time for my upgrade; much appreciated I am a Makita and EGO shop; hence, the EGO made the grade due to the greater battery capacity Comment from : @maxg4958 |
We love our STIHL battery cordless products which share between mowers, blowers, edgers, hedge and yard trimmers to name a few… Oh, also our chainsaw! Comment from : @marcmckenzie5110 |
I would love to watch your videos but you talk much to fast for this old guy Comment from : @denniswalker1258 |

Well, I know this video is 2 years old, but just what I needed to replace my string trimmer Going with the DeWalt since I already have several battery powered DeWalt tools Thanks Project Farm Comment from : @David-vf9de |
Lawn tools are Milwaukee's weakest area and DeWalt lawn tools are exceptional! I bought a DeWalt pole saw after returning a Ryobi one and I'm really impressed! Comment from : @joeking433 |

Milwaukee 100 Comment from : @luisHernandez-vo9yw |
Great Review! Maybe sometime you could test all the "big dog" battery trimmers against each other The Dewalt DCST972X1 against the EGO commercial series STX4500 string trimmer, against the Milwaukee dual Battery Model # 3006-22 string trimmer Would love to know how these 3 stack up against each other Maybe even test the 3 of them against the 2 best commercial gas trimmers too Would be a great showdown I bet! Food for thought anyway Keep up the GREAT work!!! Comment from : @donvonschitzinpantz2 |
Had a Dewalt years and it’s been great I use it on very tall grass and brambles 👍🏻🇨🇦 Comment from : @vanislandsteve |
Great review thank you I was considering Stihl but think I will go with Dewalt instead You reviewed them as strimmers but I want to use mine as a brush cutter Are these powerful enough for a metal blade/mulching head? Comment from : @amelluk |
great review no review of the Stihl battery trimmer? How about a review of gas models including 4stroke gas trimmers? Comment from : @johnkeller9921 |
I've flogged my Dewalt DCST970B since I bought it in 2018 Zero problems though I prefer Echo 400 heads and swapped around the two year pointbrIf your trimmer can use the Echo heat they work very well as shown Comment from : @obfuscated3090 |
When you said 2 batteries…i was out on makita Comment from : @CheddarCheeseBandit |
The stihl is expensive Comment from : @ArcolaBridge |

Would love an updated video for some more modern cordless string trimmers! Lots of new models nowadays Thanks for all your incredible work; your channel is truly a public service! Thanks Comment from : @artlovepeace42 |
A lot has changed about what comes up when you follow your links but I was able to eventually figure out what the actual model numbers were supposed to be for the few I was interested inbrI guess you didn't understand what I was saying about the problem with your links and what they actually take you tobrI was really grateful for the info and the differences you pointed out in the units with your testing, I went with the Milwaukee to replace my RyobibrLots of power and good balance thanks 😀 Comment from : @Ashad2012 |
I thank you for explaining the differences Can I know your opinion on what is best for me? I do not have experience using it and I do not have a large space, but rather a small one at home What do you advise me? Comment from : @victorsaleeb5632 |
It's 2 years later and the links don't take you to the correct modelsbrIf you had said which actual version or model each unit was the value in the video would still existbrExamples:"brYou say at $299 for the Milwaukee but the link takes you to a $549 MilwaukeebrYou say $400 for the Makita but the link takes you to a $569 MakitabrSome aren't bad you said $320 for the Dewalt and the link goes to a $329 DewaltbrbrJust would be nice if you knew which actual models you had recommended so a person couls see if they were still available Comment from : @Ashad2012 |
I would like to see the best electric string trimmer against the best wild bagger Comment from : @american4890 |
I just bought the toro 60v that lowes had on sale for 99$ I got 5 minutes out of it It's going back tomorrow Comment from : @rbbellows7871 |
Watch the bump feed section was painful I switched to a fixed line trimmer It guarantees you have to manually install the line pieces every time but it's also a fixed amount of time to dick around with it every time I was just done screwing around with tangled lines, manually advancing, respooling DONE Comment from : @Benjamin-rq1fi |
You spoil us ! I appreciate you You pack so much in to these I was thinking the DeWalt looked pretty good too Thanks Comment from : @ohmanifeelfunny |
Just picked up the DeWalt unit for my first big boy trimmer - very impressed with its performance! Comment from : @ughmas |
I have a Milwaukee, but the bigger twin handle version than this which is a single piece shaft with full harness as well, I use 12ah batteries and it's an absolute beast, I much prefer it over my old petrol strimmer, it's also way smoother Comment from : @oukie666 |
Very helpful video thanks Comment from : @JrWhite-fk3lf |
I'd like to see how each of the multi-tool models compare using each of the different attachmentsf How does the torque vs rpm translate to each of the attachments for each brand? Comment from : @JW86SH |
You are right One category might be most important and another could be a deal breaker For me, the most important thing is ease of replacing the string 3 years after purchase They all work fine when new, but by the second season the easy-load and string advance mechanisms stop working Comment from : @RyanK-100 |
Harbor Freight warranty is 90 days That's funny I love Harbor Freight for "disposable" hand tools and accessories, but I would never buy a power tool from them You can see the piss poor manufacturing standards by just looking at them Would they really put fine inner components into a $2 shell? Comment from : @RyanK-100 |
You need to check the best entry-level gas trimmers Comment from : @NickJames-f2q |
Funny thing is people think battery powered is an upgrade You must have a bunch of batteries or a very small yard Comment from : @Pittsburgh-412 |
I just want to know what he did with all those trimmers once he was finished with the video lol Comment from : @MDC2020 |
I HAVE a craftsman and im very happy with it runs fast, runs long, line feed works pretty good (best have had) charge time no problem about $160 Comment from : @ronjohnson4566 |
0:59 "the greenworks is in no hurry to get busy" lmaolol LOVE your channel No one I trust on Youtube more than you If you don't have trust, what is the point Thanks for always going the extra mile Comment from : @kevinshea5819 |
Tanks Comment from : @AndréTraversy-p4r |
nice comparison butwhy did you choose not to test any high-range trimmers? I just bought the stihl kma 200, and would be curious how it performs against these cheaper brandsmaybe (if you are interested) i could set up a layout similar to yours to test it (but i have no torque meter and all meters i have are metric) Comment from : @Davide-ld1mo |
Thank you Comment from : @hurrikaneiii |
What an amazing review Thank you Comment from : @nicks12 |
Always my 1st choice for reviews but really surprised Black & Decker didn't make the list of tested equipment Reason?brCurious is being able to swivel to an edger not a consideration? Comment from : @MarkP_Fan |
Is makita really that low kn battery ? Comment from : @yostinpoveda2083 |
One thing I realized I would have liked to have known is what attachment connection each trimmer had I know that Kobalt, Greenworks, and Ryobi, all use the square shaft connection Ego and Echo have their own proprietary connections Comment from : @JW86SH |
Great review as always I am on Team Yellow and planned on buying the Dewalt kit for $329 While in HD to purchase the kit, I saw the Milwaukee Quik-lok 2825-21st on sale from $299 to $199 I made an impulse decision and purchased the Milwaukee and the pole saw attachment This is my first Team Red purchase and hopefully it was a good decision Comment from : @josephgrieco4453 |
Based on his video, I bought the EGO Trimmer and Blower Combi Kit in Spring of 2024 for just $189 One of the best buy I have had so far as its performance is top notch I am an EGO fan for life now Comment from : @mohd_pedophile_rapist |
