It's better to say that Pre33 Double Eagle gold coins are 90 gold(Fineness) with a minted weight of 3344g Thus it has only abt 301g of Average Gold Weight(AGW) or only 0967 of a troy oz of gold It's not a full ozt of gold brThe current gold Eagle is a 9167 gold(Fineness) With a 3393g, it has 311g AGW or the full ozt of gold So there is actually 1g of gold less in the Pre33s, not 05g less

Right now, MS64 common date slabbed St Gaudens sells for less than a 1 oz gold eagle bullion coin Not a good investment unless you have rare date or MS66 or higher That is pretty pathetic actually I will never buy another one

In my view, aiming at lowest premium you will always be second to a professional seller the day you want to sell Why would people buy from you so to speak However, stacking semi numismatic coins, let’s say 10-30 over spot would add a rarity factor the day you sell

I have yet to purchase any pre 33 gold as of yet, not to say that I won’t in the future I have purchased gold and silver in all other area I didn’t think I would get into vintage silver but recently I got a really good deal, so now I own vintage bars 🤷‍♂️ Keep up the good work SS, I enjoy watching your videos 💯💪🏼😎🇺🇸🦅

I’ve been stacking gold & silver for a while but mostly just for lowest price so I haven’t purchased and graded coins Plus I like to hold my coins in my hands without the plastic cases I had not bought any Pre 33 gold until I recently bought an eagle and double eagle at close to spot at my LCS They’re not graded, but I still think they’re great!

I'm glad my grandfather and his father gave them a big ol 🖕and kept their per 33 gold It wasn't alot but I'm glad to have it in my collection Now or days, I just get modern stuff because I'm not over paying for gold 😅 Thanks for your time and the video
