Question from a new stacker in FL, even though the Eagle and Buffalo are the most popular in the US, would it not be better to get a Maple or Britannia with a lower premium? Because say in a year, the spot price of gold would be higher than what I bought it for, and I can sell it for the new spot price Hope my question makes sense Cheers!

Given premiums on 1/4 oz AGEs 1/4 oz Brits are the smartest play, the 1oz size is the Buffalo due to it being 24k and it’s domestic Until AGEs become competitive in the fractional world I’m passing them up Recently the 1/10 eagles aren’t bad hence I’m filling tubes for the kids I am shouting at ya from the future regarding the release of this video When those AGE premiums drop I’m all over them Cheers 🥃

Australia charge GST on coins with any copper content at all , Coins must be 999 or above to not attract the Australian Goods and Services Tax Do not buy American Gold Eagles or Gold South African Krugerrands if you live in Australia, Buy Perth Mint Gold Coins that at 9999 gold and no copper added or ABC bullion gold coins also 9999 gold no copper added, Do not get Sovereigns either in Australia because they also have the tax added because of the added copper, Always as a rule in Australia only buy 9999 gold with no added copper

Personally I would completely avoid the maple leaf 100 gold (with no additives for hardness is a negative) is the softest coin and they ALWAYS has defects or scratches and the maple leaf always ends up looking like a scratched up marijuana plant After several years of ownership, I can honestly say the Krugerrand looks the best, especially for its unique gold bronze color looks awesome and its hardness Do not be fooled by acceptability ANY reputable dealer knows gold is gold and knows all the brands APMEX is a good place
