I live in Washington and there is no refund here I've been keeping cans since I was about 4 around 2012 when the prices were really high I now have friends, family, neighbors, and even businesses saving their cans for me My grandpa built a crusher for me and about every 2-3 months I fill 10 trash cans of crushed cans a take them to the scrap yard I make around $40 every time It's not a lot, but I made my first $1,000 before I was 10 recycling just cans by the pound It adds up

I go outside and collect cans and bottles for money myself! that I do it in the mornings and even in the afternoons and even go to different places to look for bottlesbrJust to find so many bottles and take them home and most of the times my bottle bin gets full fast sometimes and I replace my bag for a newer one which every timebrI bring my bags of bottles to a bottle depot I mostly get either $60 or $70 or $80 or $90 from having so much bags of bottles which I always see what I'm doing for bottle collectingbrIs a job to me by doing it everyday in the mornings and in the afternoons to find bottles

I would wear gloves just because I have found disguting things on the floor I can't say what it is, but you know protection to not have kids or get diseases Some people refer to them as balloons or hatsIn case someone is reading who is not supposed to be reading I have been in parking lots, about to step on them, and I have had to move my car all the way to another parking spot Just be careful, you don't want to end up touching a used "whatever"

I make 200-300 dollars a week collecting cans out of recycling bins, for a total of only 6 hours of work throughout the week I’m making almost $35-$42 an hour However on holidays (eg independence or Canada day) I make at the very least TRIPLE that amount, the whole bed of my truck can be filled to the brim with a 65-35 mix of 5 cent & 20 cent cans respectively

When I was a kid we would bottle pick all the time it was how we kids got spending money I still do it now in my teens to afford trips, (tips: wear gloves and Vaseline in your nose keeps smells out, try on the sides of the highways lots of drinking lots of bottles make sure your alert though it can be dangerous, and if your in Canada a days worth or highway picking can bring in 300-500 dollars a day)
