This problem should have been alleviated with a pre-marriage written agreement/understanding that she pays for half of everything communal and whatever monies are left over, that person can do as they please (with their money) with NO say-so or input from the other person, PERIOD Men, if you are going to get married, CYA on every aspect of your lives Thank feminism for this females

Dave you need to stand up and be a manbrYour first responsibility is not to your children it is to your marriage and the bases of your marriage is love not trust, tough love is what you need but you also need to not compromise on it, if your wife spends too much money cut her off from the cash flow and give her an allowance, make sure she knows that every nonessential purchase has to be approved by you first
