Born in 72 so something like Tele and/or 70’s Deluxe Like the big headstock so that has always been on the list! Think 62 MIJ will the next acquisition or a 61 SG with Maestro

Thanks for the post I’m glad to hear you mention Sire I have a V7 bass and I think it is the best bass for the money I was hoping the guitars were the same brDo I like it more than my USA fender p or G&L 2000? No, but the sire was less than 1/3 the cost

I have recently purchased a Chinese Kapok brand Tele, it's made of mahogany, neck and body, which has an arm chamfer and a belly cut, it has two humbuckers, overwound with split coils off a push-pull tone control, the volume tone and 3 way are repositioned more like a strat, it has a strat-like headstock, painted black and the fingerboard is purple heart that looks and feels like ebony, it also has a 2 point strat bridge with rear cut out for the claw and springs and its finished in a 2 colour tobacco sunburst with top binding in white with the back and sides of the body, neck and headstock are stained dark red, it looks great, sounds great, weighs 7 lbs, 12" fingerboard radius delivered to my door in Sydney Aus for $330 American How they do a guitar like this for $300 I don't know, I'm hoping it's not a oroduct of slave labour, I recommend you have a look at on of these, maybe do a review, tell us what you think of them, I am very impressed at the fit and finish for such a low price point, G'day from Andy in Australia, keep up the good work

Nice comprehensive look at Tele's I had my eye on a 70's Thinline in natural finish, I tried a fender MIM re issue and I didn't like the neck I couldn't find the Squier version in a store, so I ordered one, I really like it, but it doesn't do the twang thing, which I am alright with! I mostly play an Epi Les Paul 100 modded with import PAFs, it is a cheap, weight relieved model with upgraded pots but the original pickups were the same as the Special (ugh) The two guitars give an incredible variety tones, the LP has a scooped sound and the Tele a little less bass and more midrange For cheaper guitars they work well

If only they'd switch the humbucker to the bridge for custom that would be an all around workhorse for people who want single coil warmth on the neck and play heavy rock on the bridge

Don't agree with any of this guys choices Squire - you must be joking The 50s, 60s models are way too expensive and have very noisy single coils All the Deluxe models have a design fault - 250k pot electrics which makes them too dark sounding And Fender have never made a good humbucker pup imo

I really enjoy your videos I play keyboard, guitar and other instruments and can identify the real teachers from the amateurs (many of whom are good) You are a pro! I bought a Telly Nashville (shown in the pic) They say the instrument was created at the request of Nashville session players who wanted the traditional Telly sound and a strat sound so they put a strat pickup in the middle So it’s a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll like Donny and Marie😎

Got an '09 Baja for less than 1/2 of what theyre going forthe neck is based on the early 50's necks that Tadeo Gomez made for Fenderwith the same "broadcaster" bridge p/u from the custom shop and a twisted tele neckCAME STOCK!brbrExcellent all round

The Baja blows the new Vintera ranges away For a start it has the ash body like the vintage 50s telecasters did The Vintera range costs so much more than the Baja for so much less Most of the Vintera 50s have an Alder body which is incorrect for the era that they mimic If you can find a BajaSnap it up fast

Great choices and descriptions — I'm puzzled why, in describing the physical differences and different looks among the Tele variations you featured, you never mentioned the binding on a couple of the versions you showed us Because I think it makes those Teles look very different from the others that don't have binding I think the binding looks cool — immediately very eye catching

Let me explain: I could try the 51 and 63 Tele (Fender) I do prefer a not-so-chuncky (so the 63 neck / or Pro II / Or nashville) but either the 51 and 63 had the same sticky gloss My Hendrix strat (repro, not the custom!) has a gloss neck but really feel like satin, not sticky I spotted a Baja on internet and the seller said that the gloss is not sticky as ohers Waht's your feling / advice about it? (too far for me to try it) Thansks ! Dom

I I have a 1972 model fender telecaster custom It was bought in the spring of 1973 by my parents as gift for passing my grade to the 9th It is a walnut brown with a black pick guard Plus s maple neck and the little T for the strings to go through I was wondering how much money it would be worth at being 50 years last year in 2023 Yes it is a 1972 model boats in 1973 in spring it would be greatly appreciated thank you

Tele neck is better and Tele neck will jazz so your wrong on that one Strats sound awful and are only sought after because hendrix hid the awful tone of one with a fuzz pedal, SRV hid the awful sound of obe with 2 tube screamers and Clapton sent hos Strat back to Fender because us sounded awful and demanded it be rewired to spund more like a Les Paul, your Strat frok Guitar Centre will spund nothing like these - it'll just sound awful

If you want to get technical The telecaster Deluxe was the answer to Gibson's answer to the telecaster LoL the Les Paul was the answer to the telecaster so for fender to try to one up them with an answer is like answering their own question 😂 But nonetheless it's great and that fmt hh looks amazing it's the best of both worlds

I have a hard time deciding for a particular Fender, but I like the 50s for being the essence of an electric guitar, the Nashville for versatility, and Thinline and the Custom, both with CuNiFe humbuckers, for being something special and really cool Outside of Fender, I'd probably go for a Schecter PT Special! While keeping the essence of a Tele, it improves on a lot of its quirks: Contoured body, P-90 in the neck, better control layout, and some unique touches, paired with a really nice quality

Great round up I have a Korean FMTHH (5th one) in cherry red I totally agree with your comments regarding playability, I always gravitate to this tele over several more expensive and good guitars I own Its comfortable to play either sitting standing and the Semore Duncan pu sound superb I've gigged it for ten years in several cover bands, it's just so versatile and takes a beating when used in (PUNK) anger

My first Tele was the Vintera 70s Custom in fiesta red, definitely the first guitar I ever bought that I knew I'd never get rid of no matter what! The only thing I've changed on it is the bridge, put a stetsbar on it and it's absolutely killer! I love the pickups so much too, of any Tele I've played since the bridge sounds especially hot and the wide range neck pickup is buttery smooth! I don't plan to swap the pickups out any time soon, it literally sounds perfect
