MRA reached but with 26 years Is the supplement available now or not until 30 years of service at age of 60…or if an early out option is offered also A bit confused of what exactly the MRA accomplishes if you don’t have 30 years by that age

As a FERS Special Provisions (ATC) employee, if I retire Dec 31 will I receive the Full COLA the following year on Jan 1? If not, when would I need to retire in the previous year to be eligible for the full COLA the following year? I have been told I need to retire on Nov 30th to receive the full COLA the following year Jan 1 Is that correct? If so, what happens if I retire on Dec 31? When would I receive the COLA the following year?

Erica, Gotta a question I hope you can help with I was in the ARMY Reserve and deployed for a total of 2 years for combat duty I was employee of the federal government at the time of my deployment and was place on Leave without pay status until returned Is this right?? for retirement purposes from the VA those two years are good years to hit my MRA of 30 years, but it will not count towards my FERS and I would not be unable to collect the Special Retirement Supplement unless I bought back the 2 years I was deployed?? Please advise

Im confusedso i am 55, and will turn 56 this November 2020 with 27 years FERS service I have 3 years 10 months military time i am buying back So if i retire in February 2021, do i get the supplement, or no?
