Thanks Dallen! Quick question! If I start collecting both FERS and SSI at age 62 and decide to sell my house will my pension benefits be reduced/impacted if a large sum of money hits my bank account from the sell of the house? Or would it be better sell the house first prior to collecting any pensions? Would that make a difference?

How do they determine you supplement decrease if you retire in April? How much can you make working from April to December of 2023? Plus right now I am fighting with OPM about my supplement because social security states I will receive 174400 a month at age 62 and OPM based my supplement with the amount that I made back in 1998 which was the first year I started with the federal government I was told by the federal specialist that filed my packet that my supplement would be 122200 but OPM states it is 96500 So I am going to keep fighting for the correct amount of the supplement It is supposed to be 65 or 70 percent of what social security would pay me when I turn 62 correct or have they changed that rule??

They're gonna reduce your SS AND they're going to hit the rest at a higher tax rate as you push more and more of your social security into a taxable situation of course, your mileage may vary

Hello I am about to retire form the postal service I have a FEHB with MEDICAL MUTUAL OF OHIO plan I also have Medicare A and B and i wanted to know if they have Supplements plans like Medicare F ,G and N and I lessen to you alot Thank you 😊

Haws, I am an air reserve technician If I retire at 50, does the reduction affect me between 50 and my minimum retirement age? I do believe it's called a discontinued service retirement it is a full retirement

This is confusing, here is the question If you retire at 63 as civilian not special provision and start collecting pension Will the pension payout be effected if your a contactor making $130,000 a year after 63? Does the 2-1 hit people over 62? This is insane

I am planning to retire at the end of 2025 I will have quite alot of unused annual leave and comp time that will be sold back to the gvt If I receive that check in 2026, does that affect my social security ? I am presently receiving the fers supplement and I am 59 years old I plan to work a temporary job for 6 months and my income will exceed the fers supplement income limit brAfter my temporary job ends will my fers supplement return to the previous amount of $1700 i was receiving before I took the temporary job or do I lose it permanently
