Just bought a 1-8 Strike Eagle for a PSA AR-10 Haven't shot it yet but, impressed with the overall quality I own several Vortex products and love them all

Im new to the AR platform, just order my 16" AR platform today actually What is the typical ranges for each optic? Im new to the platform so probably start shooting from 35-150 yards, whatever shooting ranges I find and what they offer for distances Is a red dot good up to 100yards? What are your recommendations? Really appreciate the help

I got a primary arms 1-6 SLX LPVO optic on my AR Comes in around 340$ my rifle is a palmento State armory 18 inch AR-15 which came in at 499 on sale Goal was to have an optic and a rifle under 1000 bucks so that I could use the savings to purchase additional ammo to train with Right now the furthest I've tested myself at is 300 yards Hard to find a range that goes out further in my area brbrAny tips or input appreciated

When the battery life goes beyond the shelf life of the batteries that tells me that there's no need for more "battery life" I have yet to find any CR-2032 or CR-2025 batteries that advertise a greater than a 10 year shelf life so realistically you're talking more like a 100,000 battery life, if you're willing to risk that What I'm saying is regardless of the battery life, we all need to be responsible and replace our batteries well within the listed shelf life of the batteries I just make it a practice to replace my batteries every 3 years to insure that I'm well within the listed shelf life of the batteries That being said, any optic that provides greater than 50,000 hoers of battery life is irrelevant

Not gonna lie had tons off issues with a lower budget vortex I want to like them and will probably try a higher end scope if they make one for my needs, just haven't found it yetbrMy budget set up on 16in IWI Zion is burris 25-10 illuminated dot, bdc under 12in length, capped turrets and under 16ozWith a 45 degree offset micro red dot I absolutely love it brRugged as hell and no issues

Hmmm With the AR rail scope mounts should be return to zero My guess is one can mount a red dot, compact magnified and illuminated,and a long range classic scope in practical use

On the Sparc Solar, would love if it would work for someone like me who’s in south Texas and our summers reach into the 100-115 degree range I believe its operating temp only goes up to like 104 iirc which is too risky for me to drop money on it even though I really really want it lmao

Does anyone agree that it would be a VERY good move for Vortex to add a Firedot BDC reticle to all of their Crossfire, Hog Hunter, and Diamondback scopes? I think it would make a one rife setup much more versatile by being able to use the BDC reticle for longer ranges during the day, without sacrificing the Firedot for early morning or late evening hunting Here in SC, legal shooting light starts 1 hour before official sunrise and ends 1 hour after official sunset! That's exactly when all the big bucks are out and about! Please spread this idea Maybe we will be able to get Vortex to make us the Firedot BDC! Thank you!
