The problem is that panhandlers make more money than hardworking people ! It is a business like any other My first job I made $8 an hour These panhandlers are making $40 an hour That is outrageous Yeah some people really are just down on their luck but how do you know the difference between the truly needy and the “professional”panhandlers or human trafficking victims? You don’t know So you can’t know if you are truly helping or just contributing to the problem Also panhandling is a nuisance and discourages clientele from local (legitimate) businesses

Im American and 69 years old I weld as my trade of profession I was ran up to at a Trader Joes by a young woman of about 33 or so She asked me to buy her groceries I told her that it looked as if the teaching That begging was for those who can not work due to physical injury or sickness Of which she wasnt able to claim She was in great health Plus she ran up to me brSo i told her that she cane to this country to work and live That American people work for thiers American people dont beg for food They work for everything they own Its a sin by Gods laws brI will help those i see truly need but those who are perfectly able are not getting my sympathybrGod bless us allbrJesus Christ is Lord brAmen

I work at Walmart and there's always panhandler's nearby When me and my coworkers tell them we're hiring and offer a reference, they flip us off brbrThese people dont want to work unless they have a "Need work" sign And thats a rarity

I used to keep a stack of $1 bills in my glove compartment and each time I passed a panhandler I'd give him/her a dollar Here in the Pacific Northwest, I was handing out a LOT of $1's I used to just think of it as a road toll and it didn't bother me a single bit Until, I got chased down in my car from a panhandler because I didn't give him ENOUGH money! Chased me through stop-n-go traffic for blocks until I could get away Never again That was the last time I've given to a panhandler

The vast majority of the homeless are mentally ill or drug addicts By giving them money you're encouraging bad behaviour People, stop giving them money so that the local government will be forced to create treatment and mental facilities for these people That's more humane than given them money so they can stay on the street
