Yeah, the department of education is flawed, but it's not a total failure Removing it will only privatize schools, making education harder to reach Children will have possibly their only source of food and parental support gone, and states would be left to compete for the best education The disparity in education between state to state would be even more extreme than ever

Before 1979 states did not educate kids with special needs in public schools The department of education was developed that year to stop that from happening, and that is what they provide the funds to those states for If he closes the department of education those states will go right back to treating those peoples children the way they done before they say when you don’t know history you’re doom to repeat it
