My full retirement age is at 66 years and 10 months Counting 10 months from May 1, 2025 (turning 66), that means my full retirement month will be on March 1, 2026 I'm using logic that this is the way it's supposed to work Here's my question, If I'm eligible to start drawing SS on March1, 2026, is there an earnings limit between January 2026 and March 2026 that I need to be aware of? I plan on earning an annual salary in my FRA year north of $175k and the only reason for continuing to work is to get as much $$ saved/invested before finally stop working full time My plan is to continue working until I turn 69 but I'd like to start drawing SS at FRA (66 yrs, 10 months) Thoughts?

Hi… My full retirement age is October of 2024 I started my social security in January of 2024 After October can I make as much money as I want without being penalized in the same year being 2024 or does the 59,520 mean max earnings for the whole year of 2024?

I hit my FRA in May 2024 but according to this information, I am limited to $59,520 after my FRA? I plan to go back to work after FRA in 2024 but will pay a penalty if I go over that limit When will income become unlimited? Thanks

So if I turn 66 in 2024 but in September and my fra is 66 and 10 months does my earning cap go up in 2024 when I turn 66 or in 2025 when I reach fra that of course will dictate whether or not I plan to take it or wait

My full retirement age is 66 1/2 If I retire three months before my FRA when I finally do turn 66 1/2 can I still make as much as I want or did I lose that benefit because I retired before my FRA?

My FRA would be this year( 2023) in JULY but I will begin receiveing my SS in March of this year (four months early of FRA) I also want to continue working until Sept of this year By the end of Sept I will have made 50,000 Will I have to pay any penelties?

Your comments are a bit misleading At full ret age you can only earn an additional 56kwithout penalty, it’s not unlimited until 70

Sylvia, if someone works till 70 before taking their benefits they will have paid in an extra 3 years Your full retirement age base amount is well know from the letters Social Security sends you over the years How much do you think the extra 3 years of paying in adds to the base amount? I am not talking about that 8 interest each year I enjoy all your videos, thanks so much!

What is considered full retirement year Say my retirement is 66 and 8 months Say my birthday is October I’ll be 66 in 2023 My full retirement age isn’t for another 8 months which will not be until June 2024 Which one is considered full retirement year 2023 when I’m 66 Or June 2024 which is actually full retirement 66 and 8 months???
