 Good video, and great ignored topic! - Seeing how video games work on another level to give important skills to children (and adults), reveals the great potential of video games and provides some balance to the constant alarms about spending too much time on the "screens" - I think we should also explore actually designing games that effectively educate people, while they are having fun ---- When our son was about three, we introduced him to the beautifully animated, educational video game of "Freddie The Fish" It features an anthropomorphic fish named Freddie who embarks on various underwater adventures These games are designed to be both entertaining and educational, with a focus on teaching young children important problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and basic concepts such as colors, numbers, and shapes Our son had such fun playing, he almost didn't realize he was learning --- In my work career, I have gone through various computer trainings, but most were rather tedious But the management training computer program for Ryder Truck Rentals was somehow crafted to be so enjoyable, learning was a breeze ---- We have just scratched the surface of the amazing educational potential of video games
