Good points and presentation Gabe Another way to save is to learn some carpentry skills so that you can work with one professional carpenter and use some project management common sense to build your own small home I did that when I was 37 and I paid off the small mortgage quickly which helped me retire early

Learning how to have a healthy diet at the lowest cost goes a long way Buying fruit in bulk, buying frozen veggies and reduced meats Also, switching to store brand detergents, laundry powder, soaps etc They do the exact same thing as named brands Unless you wanna be a body builder (or are losing a lot of weight) working out from home or in parks, screw the gym member ship Not going to the gym saved me like 600 dollars a year, and my fitness routine is still productive - Joe, Melbourne Australia

Focusing on reducing the big expenses and ignoring the "how dare you but takeout coffee and have nice things!" crowd Why save small amounts depriving yourself of small nice things when you can save large amounta on big expenses that you'll barely notice Rent, utilities, car (finance is such a con, buy a cheap reliable second hand car), phone bills etc are better ways to save that still let you enjoy the small things

I think one thing young people "buy into" is the retiring from a job after 20 yrs That myth is keeping a lot of people in dead end jobs, and the facts areat 19 1/2 yrs or sothe company you poured your youth into is going to find a reason to fire you outright, and find a way to keep your hard earned pensionif you even have one The more honest look is you're going to have at least 6 to 10 different places you will work during your life Why? The facts are companies reorganize, bankrupt, embezzle wages etc, only hire people they can enslave etc The only way out of this, is to find your version of what Gabe Bult does Do it now
