@tsl7881
I like the depth of cut and the blade brake on the Skil, even though it is a Chainese made and owned brand, but you mentioned the height, I'm 6'2", my back started hurting when you said itbr You said they are both excellent saws, one would think they are the same quality and dewalty is just overchargingbrDoes having the push stick clips on the fence interfere with using fence clamps?
Comment from : @tsl7881

@Nakelp86
I wish Dewalt fence had a slot on the top for clamps as the Skill does
Comment from : @Nakelp86

@StepheMauro-kh1px
Just got the skill Folding legs were the deal sealer Outstanding So compact yet can cut half a 4x8 sheet of ply Rack and pinion fence is great
Comment from : @StepheMauro-kh1px

@jamescole1786
2/17/25compare Dewalt & Skill table saws✅️👍💪⚙️🔧🔩🕵‍♂️ good job on long list of features Stay safe & carry on!👍👍👍🍺😊
Comment from : @jamescole1786

@jackpine4347
The current model of the Skill changed the design of the riving knife They now integrate one riving knife into the blade guard, while a second, separate one is used for doing non-through cuts
Comment from : @jackpine4347

@MuRaT_C
I bought the SKIL based on your review However, this was my biggest mistake As easy as certain things are to adjust, they adjust themselves again just as quickly Adjust the saw blade and make a few cuts and measure it again you will see that it has adjusted again The rip fence is twisted, it is 89 degrees at the front and 91 at the back Tomorrow I get my Dewalt, luckily I was able to return the saw
Comment from : @MuRaT_C

@JP-ee2tc
The 10" DeWalt is a luxury portable saw, worth the price if your needs require it For me it's jobsite cabinets, doors Fence goes to 32-5/8, enough for ripping backing ply crossways, at least for lowers The Skil has been set up a couple times at our main lumber yard, but never had the time to check it out Mini Bosch is the framer beater that gets brutalized
Comment from : @JP-ee2tc

@jeffpeterson4863
lolyour obviously dewalt tilted
Comment from : @jeffpeterson4863

@craigerickson-z9q
Mike, if money was not a consideration which saw would you buy between the Dewalt, 7491, Skil 6307 or the Bosch GTS 15-10 ?
Comment from : @craigerickson-z9q

@patrickrollin1179
Used my new Skil table saw yesterday A great purchase at 369$canadian No need to pay more
Comment from : @patrickrollin1179

@northeastrcfreaks6649
Thanks for this video, you've made my mind up on which to buy after days of watching "which ones the best" videos yours was one of the best in-depth pros and cons Also thank you for doing steering me away from the Kobalt one
Comment from : @northeastrcfreaks6649

@paulwaldrop2262
I had the dewalt, and it was a phenomenal saw Wound up replacing it with the Sawstop Jobsite Pro Despite the safety part, on the Sawstop, I do find myself thinking about selling it and buying another dewalt Great review
Comment from : @paulwaldrop2262

@jean-marcvincent2871
Merci pour cette vidéo bien réaliséebrGood job !!!

@Crayonomicon
Dropped this on your Skil review but want the prospective buyers to see it brbrI purchased this saw 1 year ago based in part on this review and I have an update About 10 months in, it started tripping my breakers like crazy and the bolts for the toolless blade adjustment and tilt mechanism have begun to reliably back themselves out with use causing the saw to come out of alignment with the fence and the tilt and lift mechanism to fail due to bolts not clearingbrbrAll of this was covered and Skil provided a service center to deliver my saw to That service center had the saw for 2 weeks before letting me know that they no longer were a Skil service provider (a recent change) and to pick up my saw Skil gave me another service provider to call who said that the electrical was going to be a motor replacement which would exceed the value of the saw and trigger a replacement with Skil every timebrbrI took that info back to Skil and they're willing to process that replacement under warranty but by the time I'll get the replacement I'll have been without the use of my saw for over a month I asked if I could pay the difference and upgrade to their 10" worm drive hoping it might be more robust but understandably there's no such program under warrantybrbrIt's unfortunate that the service has gone the way it has but given the difficulties in executing the warranty and the multiple issues after just a year of ownership I can't recommend the saw brbrMight be worth an update video
Comment from : @Crayonomicon

@brettulrich2219
Throw in the 297$ Kobalt? How's that size up
Comment from : @brettulrich2219

@mikesullivan2731
Thanks for the video You did compare a $600 Dewalt to a $300 Skil How about the Dewalt against the $600 Skilsaw with worm drive? Same price!

@Bare-KnuckleWoodworks
This video helped out a lot man I am building out my woodworking shop (Home Based) and was indecisive I found a Skil on marketplace that had 3 cuts ran out it and I snagged it for $100
Comment from : @Bare-KnuckleWoodworks

@-ThePREACHER-
I watched this video a little over a year ago and bought the Skil brbrToday - I just ordered the DeWalt It will be here in a couple daysbrbrThat should tell ya something lolbrbrYou will NOT get the cuts you need out of the Skil saw if you are looking to make accurate Bevel cuts brbrEven WITH a digital gauge brbrStick with a DeWalt if you have the money brDon't waste your time on the Skil
Comment from : @-ThePREACHER-

@TedHallII
My 74091 has an Incra 1000SE, just turned my 8 year old saw into a precision machine
Comment from : @TedHallII

@mattd9392
I am trying to decide between the masterforce and the skilif you had to pick one of those 2 for home projects, which would you go for?
Comment from : @mattd9392

@crispyone2564
I’m on Lowe’s site looking at saws and skil has a better saw(SPT99-11) that is priced $650 like the dewalt in this video The skil you have is only 300 Maybe the only difference is the stand not sure brbrI’m leaning towards the 300 skil since I only use it a few times a year
Comment from : @crispyone2564

@samdamti851
That was one of the best comparison videos I have ever seen! Really nice in depth review with everything I wanted to know and no bs Thanks!
Comment from : @samdamti851

@jimh6445
I wish he would have done the measurements of the blade and fence squares to the table
Comment from : @jimh6445

@dankelley7395
Nice review! One thing I wish you had done is a comparison of the saws while running Maybe with a decibel meter? I bought a Skil and find quite a bit louder than the DeWalt I used to use at work
Comment from : @dankelley7395

@Andrew-is7rs
An excellent review but minus anything about the cuttingbrBut nice jobbr👍
Comment from : @Andrew-is7rs

@jebtaifanc56
Sadly although I've tried I can't seem to be able to buy the Skil table saw in the UK since Covid Available on Amazon US but not Amazon UK !
Comment from : @jebtaifanc56

@jasona8396
This isn't really apples to apples The DeWalt is a job site saw Skill is a portable saw DeWalt makes portable saws, but this isn't one of them
Comment from : @jasona8396

@davidndahura7437
You didn't talk about power , but both look wonderful saws , especially in their prices
Comment from : @davidndahura7437

@dm9078
The Skil is technically a job site saw but it’s really a DIY beginner woodworking saw The DeWalt is twice the price and a real job site saw!
Comment from : @dm9078

@carlandrews5810
Wish Skil would make this style in 8 1/4" saw
Comment from : @carlandrews5810

@doc1time75
Love my dewalt
Comment from : @doc1time75

@bepassa12
And they both have plastic gears to raise and lower the blade that will wear out long before the saw doeswhy don't they use metal gears and charge $4 more to cover the cost
Comment from : @bepassa12

@chascollette
The dewalts are beasts, last forever, never a problem
Comment from : @chascollette

@Oliver-f1f8u
Great video I really appreciate this I’m going to purchase the Skil saw I’m new at a table saw… and space is a factor to me Also, that price is really appealing I loved the honest comparison
Comment from : @Oliver-f1f8u

@mysticks08
In Sweden the dewalt is about three times as expensive as the Skil, would you reccomend the Dewalt or Skil considering I gan get 3 Skils for one Dewalt 😅
Comment from : @mysticks08

@tony3803
Dewalt 7485👍👌
Comment from : @tony3803

@pwoyus
I’ve been at Dewalt fan for a long time and right now I’m looking for saw It looks like to me The Dewalt is a better song which means I’m going to go ahead and stick with the Dewalt 10 inch or 8 inch I’m not sure as long as it takes a dado stack
Comment from : @pwoyus

@itstime3723
if skill changes the fence and the quick guard release and make the legs a little more height friendly it would be the better option at almost half the price,
Comment from : @itstime3723

@dsimms6
I think a closer comparison would be with the 8in version of the dewalt because it's a similar price Have you done that yet?brIs it better just to get the Skil cause it's 10" or the 8" Dewalt for the quality ya think?
Comment from : @dsimms6

@MichiganSkip
Thanks for the comparison video! Which one would you say, has the most accurate fence?
Comment from : @MichiganSkip

@the_original_mathwiz
I didn't read all comments The fence storage on the DeWalt is worth mentioning It stores nicely
Comment from : @the_original_mathwiz

@StopWarsColoImperialism
8:19 you can definitely remove it Nice video
Comment from : @StopWarsColoImperialism

@slinkyscapes8530
Before watching the video I’m saying DeWalt will be the pick of the bunchbrIt’s one of the industry leading names and usually costs more because of it and it should be built better … brLet’s see 👍🏻
Comment from : @slinkyscapes8530

@jaimeroman2406
I’m returning the Dewalt 8 and 1/4 in saw and getting the 10” Thanks man! 🤙🏾
Comment from : @jaimeroman2406

@drakelazerus
The deWalt is twice the cost as the skil so you hope it would have more features For the money the skil seems to hold it's ground quite well Thanks for this excellent review
Comment from : @drakelazerus

@eegg6954
China vs Taiwan Enough said One's at war with us If you are any craftsman, you really can't be fighting a substandard table saw for the rest of your life Buy the Dewalt
Comment from : @eegg6954

@NGMonocrom
It's simple, if you can afford it; buy the DeWALT Easily one of the absolute best table-saws currently on the market Heck, possibly the best one If you're starting out, you're on a tight budget, the best table saw out there for you is the Skil Yes, there are cheaper options out there than the Skil But they're just cheap The Skil is actually a very good value for the money
Comment from : @NGMonocrom

@jefwisse1957
Because my window frames needed replacing, I had the choice of ordering new window frames from the manufacturer or making them myself After receiving the manufacturer's quote, I decided to make them myself After studying several YT videos, I finally decided to purchase the Skil table saw instead of the DeWalt mainly because the price of the Skil which is very attractive The saw is very pleasant to work with and works quite accurately Only the conductor has, in my opinion, a little too much tolerance What particularly surprised me is that the saw cuts through a hardwood beam of 90 mm thickness without any problems I also like that the saw is lightweight I did have to make an extra table because the surface of the top is on the small side
Comment from : @jefwisse1957

@jmw7417
Thanks for the comparison, very helpful One thing you didn’t mention though is the price points… The Dewalt on Amazon today is listed for $629 , the Skil for $269… Pretty huge difference Thanks again for making the video
Comment from : @jmw7417

@examloader1752
Hi I liked your review of Bosch table saw and helped me in my buying decision but I still trying to choose between dewalt 7492 and the makita 2704 these choices what is remain after taking Bosch out and the known brand available in my country Saudi Arabia can you review the makita or make comparison with dewalt makita is more expensive here
Comment from : @examloader1752

@Undi3Z
The only question i have regarding these 2 tablesaws is the top material I know the Dewalt has a metal surface (straight), not sure about the skil tho If its metal, i might consider buying the skil aswell plastic tops tend to bend over time or from the factory even
Comment from : @Undi3Z

@scottsbaitsandtackle
Just bought that Skil and the 10 inch Miter saw Got the miter today and will get the table saw tomorrow! Been using a 90 dollar Harbor Freight Warrior table saw for a while and never had a miter saw I really like the DeWalt but is out of my price range, for now! I don't think I will be needing to change any time soon if at all!
Comment from : @scottsbaitsandtackle

@ECarrillo
I’m pretty sure I would get the Dewalt
Comment from : @ECarrillo

@Bonjour-World
The stands are a deal breaker in both cases
Comment from : @Bonjour-World

@Tito1984
T Slots? Are the sliding slots on either saw a standard size? Just purchased a nice miter gage for a cabinet saw and waned to know if it would fit either saw Preferably without much adjustment
Comment from : @Tito1984

@hwfranjr
There are a lot of tables out there that are just as GOOD if not better ,small tables ,SONT BUY a name YOURE getting ripped off,look at power,size and How it best serves you,stop BUYING a NAME😂😂😂😂😂😂
Comment from : @hwfranjr

@OscarAdlers
How can i Easy uppgrade my Skilsaw like new fence or what do you think
Comment from : @OscarAdlers

@l____bugc____l
i got the Skil tablesaw yesterday I was about to buy an Einhel until i came across a review about the Skil tablesaw brbrFrom a DiY perspective: - Oh man im so happy i payed a little extra The Skil is an amazing tablesaw for doing small home improvement and diy stuff The DeWalt is ofcourse a mighty workhorse on its own but Skil for half the price of the DeWalt (Netherlands) yooooo -> this is an easy choise brbrAnyways, im hapy i payed a little extra, compared to an Einhel, and went for the Skil The DeWalt would be an overkill in my situation
Comment from : @l____bugc____l

@spikelove9533
Seems like to me they are for a different level of use I just got the skill and sold my old dinosaur craftsman The craftsman is a much better saw but it's ti big for my space Mine only gets used once in awhile I feel like the Dewalt is definitely a job sight tool But the skil is for a small grade shop br You get what you pay for, but sometimes one doesn't over kill I think they are both good saws and for a hobbyist wood worker with a small shop the skil is a good buy
Comment from : @spikelove9533

@carlahrens1411
i do think they are both good , only the price is differend
Comment from : @carlahrens1411

@cafeclavosypalos3918

@jakekilrain2075
Disappointed to see the fence set up on the Delta Perhaps personal preference but would think the Delta would have a rack & pinion fence?
Comment from : @jakekilrain2075

@drakejansson1262
Yeah you guys never talked about the size of the motor is it a 3/4 horse I had a little skill that about years and years ago had it for about 15 years that had a 3/4 horse I can go through a 4 x 4 with no problem with it pushing hard as I can and it would not bog down or nothing
Comment from : @drakejansson1262

@davidkohl3259
I have been comparing these 2 saws for a little while now Despite my height being 6' 4", I'm 99sure that I'll be buying the Skil One thing that I found in comparing specs the Skil can cut 4x4 material, while the Dewalt falls just short Did you find this in testing? *note I haven't seen the Dewalt stand alone vid
Comment from : @davidkohl3259

@jeffhansman2829
Beginning woodworker here Thanks for your in-depth looks at these products I had the DeWalt in my dream list; it was just replaced by the Skil I'm on a budget, have a small workspace, and am not a young man All of these lean me toward the Skil product The adjustments and bang for buck, IMO, put it over the black and yellow
Comment from : @jeffhansman2829

@pleappleappleap
So, I suppose the fence mounts are too proprietary to use a high-end third-party fence?
Comment from : @pleappleappleap

@pleappleappleap
I'll have to figure out about whether the height on the Skil works when on the top of a Black and Decker folding workbench/vise
Comment from : @pleappleappleap

@pleappleappleap
Is Chervon doing a better job with Skil than Bosch was doing? I was disappointed with what Bosch had done with the brand
Comment from : @pleappleappleap

@thedone1342
I own the dewalt nothing bad to say about it it’s a dewalt it’s exactly what you expect it to perform
Comment from : @thedone1342

@andreas5287
What are the dimensions on the skil when it's folded up?
Comment from : @andreas5287

@STV-H4H
I have a Dewalt jobsite saw Mounted in an essentially permanent position in a rolling table I purpose built for it to use with larger pieces (Should’ve made it even bigger, plywood sheets are never an easy task) brbrI completely forgot about the fence having the push stick holder I have a feather board pinch clamped to it which is generally always used brI truly with that Dewalt had installed aluminum tracks to the fence surface But I bought a job site tool not a precision shop saw
Comment from : @STV-H4H

@phicun74
Skil and dewalt are both Chervon brands some similarities are expected
Comment from : @phicun74

@shanenagore2667
Is the extra $250ish worth spending to get the Dewalt instead of the Skill? brI value precision above all, thoughts? brThanks!!!
Comment from : @shanenagore2667

@Alan_Edwards
I'm not in the market for a table saw, but from what you showed I would definitely opt for the DeWalt The differences are not huge, but they add up I would also not want the lower height of the Skill either plus the portability of the DeWalt is a nice feature I have a DeWalt cut off saw and really like how solid it feels compared to others I tried If it's the same with the table saw, which it sure looks like it is, there is no question which way I would go brbrIt's pretty sad none of these come with a decent miter gauge I had a ShopSmith back in the day and it was a solid piece of equipment all the way around, including the miter gauge Anywaynice job brother
Comment from : @Alan_Edwards

@ElmerivanGonzalesmarroquin
Excelente!!!!!
Comment from : @ElmerivanGonzalesmarroquin

@tnjbrown
How important is the overall cut depth difference between these two? I see the Skil can do a 35" depth cut, so can rip 4x materials but the Dewalt only has a 3-1/8th" depth of cut How important is that for DYI around the house work and hobby wordworking?
Comment from : @tnjbrown

@anthonygreen5160
Thanks for your videos Still not sure which one to go for Looking for one that's compatible with a dado stack Have you reviewed the Lumberjack table saw? Would be interested in hearing your opinions on that, even if I have to make a dado plate for the Lumberjack
Comment from : @anthonygreen5160

@JU188
Unless you intend to learn sign language I recommend you break the habit of all the poking taping and hand waving Since you’re camera is so close to the object you’re filming you end up blocking the view unnecessarily Also it’s annoying and makes you look kind of stupid
Comment from : @JU188

@winddealer1
Anyone happen to know what type of material (metal, plastic)l the rack and pinion gears are made of for each of these products? Metal, plastic?
Comment from : @winddealer1

@leechannon-n7e
I bought this skil saw after watching your video and im based in Estonia
Comment from : @leechannon-n7e

@BAG9114
Great comparison I decided on the Skil because I have limited space in my garage/workshop and secondly because of price I bought it at my local Menards at an special offer price of $279 As jerrywilson6770 outlines below for the price the Skil is a great DIY saw with intriguing features eg precise rack&pinion fence setting, easy blade adjaustability And I can confirm: It was “bang-on square out of the box”To store it I fold the stand and place the saw on a plywood platform with casters and roll it away Easy The Diablo 50 teeth combo blade which I added gets my rip and cross cuts done easy and clean I have plans for a folding/removable out-feed table and a simple cross cut sled I am very happy with this little saw
Comment from : @BAG9114

@jaredmcquiniff6174
Thank you for putting out your review videos! I was in the market for a table saw and I was on a budget so I got the skil saw and I absolutely love it!
Comment from : @jaredmcquiniff6174

@user-zq6pj5jo8j
The Bosch table saw stand with the large wheels from a few years ago is really cool too, But very large compared to most Just step down on the stand point and it transforms into a stable stand
Comment from : @user-zq6pj5jo8j

@jerseyjim9092
I have an old makita portable table saw and wanted to upgrade before the proposed govt saw safety regulations take effect As much as I thought I would be going with the Dewalt, I think the weight, size and price would be overkill for my purposes The smaller sized Skil at less than half the price just makes the most sense But I'll probably regret it😅
Comment from : @jerseyjim9092

@DaveMartin-co8et
Comparative reviews are my favorite You did a superb job on this one I'm quite value driven so that would drive my choice provided that the quality and features were comparable I'm looking for another tablesaw in case the Consumer Product Safety folks decide to kill off affordable portable tablesaws Thanks for the video
Comment from : @DaveMartin-co8et

@BigBadWolf1st
I have the Skil for about 2 years now and while I am overall happy with it, I can confirm it's 2 major issues 1 The throat plate is plastic crap that flexes like a piece of licorice I made my own including a zero clearance out of hard maple 2 The riving knife I took it out, cut a chunk out of the bottom with a dremel so I can just slide it out now when I need to do dados It's super loud and I already have tinnitus so I always wear ear protection
Comment from : @BigBadWolf1st

@frankheilmeier3930
Thanks for the side by side comparison I thought I wanted the Skill after watching this So I went to the store and compared the feel and found the skill to be a bit flimsy I ended up with the Dewalt 7485 It is a good table saw for the money and I love the fence and how the saw works Thanks!
Comment from : @frankheilmeier3930

@scottbionicnerf8727
Something I noticed when I was at my preferred Lowe's Home Improvement,(because, before this past Thanksgiving 2023, I was doing my own comparisons😎) Upon reading the spec's, I seen the DeWalt DES7492(I think that's an older model? Because what they have on line now is the DES7491 or something, or maybe the 7491 is older?) takes a 250mm which isn't a true 10"(254mm), which is what the SKIL TS6307-00 comes with I'm 5'10" and the height of either saw is okay for me I enjoyed your video I'm thankful for your hands-on experience with both saws, something I don't have🤓brI'm leaning towards the SKIL, because at the moment, I don't foresee a true need for the larger DeWalt, and truth be told, if I had the extra coin for DeWalt, I'd buy the larger SKIL SPT99-11 any ways, cause seems like a better saw than the DeWalt Those HUGE wheels makes it easier to roll over stuff
