A bit pointless without the entry level American Performer Squier, Player 2, Vintera, American Performer, American Professional -that would be a better spread No one realistically is going to buy a Custom Shop or an overpriced niche signature guitar as their first Tele

i wish i didnt see this video and what you said abiut the custom shop relic guitar there is one in the shop near were i live that is similar and while i havent played it as its in a glass case it looks incredible and now i cant go in there as everyone in there including the customers is an enabler

Hate the relic concept I have 3 teles although only one Fender Two G&Ls and one American rosewood with nocaster pickups All are different hard to say which is best

The $400 difference between the vintage squier and the fender player is the fender hand a standardization which is easier to find parts if you want to mod it

Once i picked one up and always like strats bell like tones but with the fat bottom end i was hooked You can’t go wrong 0:01 with Suhr telecaster I’d stay away from Fender relics hear ritchie kotzen tele is good but neck is like a louisville slugger cut in half

I love the back to back play through at the 3:00 min mark Thats how comparions should be made - back to back, no cuts, not holding the chord/note to let it ring out before the switch If i wasnt paying attention, i wouldnt have even picked there was a change between some of them Nice work!

I love Teles I have about 12 of them including a Player series and the Jason Isbel which is one of my favorites I also really love the Fender Ultra series and the Am Pro IIsbrII

Go to a guitar shop, play every flavour of tele, see which neck feels best, buy it and take it to a tech for a setup, change the pickups (if that’s what tickles you) and enjoy the ride 😊

The Player Series sucks I think The alnico pups sound terrible in this, the neck is too tinny, feels not right I kept my MIM Standard instead with pup upgrades and new frets

Cheap guitars tend to be super heavy Cheaper guitars like Squier are actually lighter in weight lol But Custom Shop Fender teles are definitely next level I just got a CS Broadcaster and I've never played anything like it It's absolutely amazing and weighs 72lbs Easy on my back

It took me 48 years to finally get a Tele, I bought a $360 ( Aus) Kapok Tele from China It's a mahogany body and neck, ebony fretboard, it's got 2 humbuckers (overwound) with coil splits via the push-pull tone control, it has a 2 point Strat bridge with the back routed for the claw and springs Its got a tobacco sunburst top with top binding, the back and sides of the body are stained red and the body has a belly cut and an arm chamfer, obviously hand sanded, it weighs around 7 pounds It's the most comfortable guitar I have ever played, the neck is modern C slim taper, medium jumbo frets, small volute under the nut The pickups are darker than my Strats but through a Korg Pandora multi fx or a Strymon Sunset O/D it sounds great Best deal I ever got playing music, cheers from Sydney Australia!

Wish you would have reviewed the Ultra Tele’ I bought one a year ago in blue and out of the box it was perfectly tuned The neck is satin and fast Has a unique shaped neck that changes curve at the top to more flat at bottom Love it Under 2K Has brass individual saddles with chrome overlay to match styling S1 switches, double cut outs in back, locking tuners and strap nuts

There must be 15-20 guitar channels making videos on budget guitars, and when Fojill, Glarry and even Ktaxon have better necks and frets than the Squier Sonic, I'm not sure who it's marketed too? br The Debut series isn't better than any of the 3 above either br Long story short😂, guitars under $100 shouldn't have better necks than the Sonic series

I went and played all the teles in my area and the best one I could find says ESP ON the head Used, loaded w/ EMGs Single coil bridge, humbucker at the neck Bundled w/40 watt Marshall tube amp $11oo for both Been playing guitar since mid 80s and I'd say this was one of the best deals I've ever got
