I was diagnosed with ADHD in 1990 @ the age of 10 yrs old There wasn't a whole lot of help available I didn't find the right medication until I was 16 yrs old in 1996 I can't even begin to describe the amount of physical, verbal, & emotional abuse I've endured at the hands of other kids & adults, teachers, my parents & siblings I wouldn't wish my experiences on anybody

There are studies that suggest and provide evidence for changing the diet of anyone with ADHD to no processed food, low processed sugars, and organic foods and meats brIf you do this there is a high probability of losing the diagnosis as the symptoms fade away brI would also look at what is in your water supply If fluoride is in your tape water or toothpaste reduce exposure to it as it can cause ADHD symptoms brbrNow is the time to really research your ADHD diagnosis and consult a naturopath about your gut health and how to improve It

Is not that we can't control it its that we don't even attempt to control it because things happen (we cause them to happen) before knowing we will cause the thing to happen It's too late it happened before I could even control it Like peeing your pants trying to control it after your pants are wet

Back when I was a kid to had ADD which is now lumped into ADHDbrIt sucks cuz it still affects me as an adult I was given Rx from 2nd - Jr year of highschool Sometimes I wish I could go back on meds to be more productive and professional at work I only tell people on a need to know basis like when it causes problems at work People sometimes treat you differently like you’re stupid in my experience I feel awkward when I tell them cuz they sometimes I’m using it as an excuse I’m always afraid of how people think orbrWill interact with me because im scared they will get frustrated and angry at me and raise their voice thinking it will help but in reality i just shut down This fear derived from my father getting frustrated at me as a child when helping me with school work at home He a nice guy but my mother had to step in and band my father from tutoring me and my grandfather, a retired doctor, started tutoring after school This is the isolation I faced in public and at home As an adult I struggle with GAD,MDD, social anxiety disorder, PTSD

Ive had ADHD symptoms for the longest, I watched your other video with ADHD at school with a girl as the subject and ive read up on adhd and theres so many of the things I go through I cant just see a doctor cause my mom says its to expensive, but when we do go we dont go to the type of doctor im looking for so i never get results i really need and because my mom has so many sickness, me and my sister adapted thatbrI cant really figure it out if I have OCD, ADHD, autism, etcbrBut in the video like at 1:15 - 1:25 i dont really know got me to comment thoughbrCause im just like the things from the ADHD videos with the girl who likes to do art and write, just like mebrAnd i appreciate you saying all the jobs and personality that comes with it, im gonna be a oral surgeon!❤brAnyways i keep missing the point😭 im organized but it is hard cause im so distracted, sometimes i do something and im aware but im not? brMy grades are all A's and I do things at my own pace cause of the extra time we get Thats whats really saving me, and because we have instructions online or its comprehendiblebrSometimes when im daydreaming or I zone out, sometimes I cant get out of it and im blinded for like 5 - 10 seconds on a slow tempo (instrument player so its the best way to explain it😂)

As a person with ADHD i can confirm this happens to me, right now im 13 and i was diagnosed with ADHD when i was 6 years old, i didnt know that i had ADHD when i was 5 or 4 until my mom said that a had ADHD, she explained to me what it was and i nowdays, i always forgot the homework and sometimes i do homeworks my mom helps me so i cant forget to do them, but the nextt day i forgot it on my house or j just canf find it By the way, some people that i met and i told them that i have ADHD always said or think that ADHD its cute because we act childish and like a baby that is hyperactive but ADHD have the dark sad like stress, not paying attention and just talk in the middle of the class screaming i uss medication but i cant concentrate in anything, my mom always changes me to school by school because the teachers dont have patience to say to me "dont scream! Be quiet!" And thats makes me embarrassed and sad, but nowdays i keep taking my medications and now i am concerned of my actions 😊

i think there also needs to be attention focused on the female brain and the societal impacts of that I think there should also be a wide arrange of ADHD types not just a specific one I felt disappointed only hearing about one experience

Most teachers and principals in public schools, are not fully educated or equipped on ADHD These children have major challenges and a lot of their behaviors is not their fault! From experience, I can tell you, they become a target, they are seen as “ the bad kid”… when actuality, they are struggling It’s so important to have a diagnosis, a therapist, a psychiatrist, an IEP and 504, and a student advocate for! It’s also important to be a good parent and be understanding and patient Of course, there are some groundings involved but the most important thing is you stand up for your son or daughter! EVERY TEACHER AND PRINCIPAL NEEDS TO SEE THIS VIDEO! A school setting is extremely difficult and we need support, not teachers who refuse to teach these children, which is what happened to my child!

Schools just aren’t equipped for kids with these issues There isn’t enough staff, and the ones that are there aren’t really trained in teaching kids who can’t focus (nor do most teachers have the patience for it because it is quite draining) Ideally, there would be a trained professional next to every 2 kids with a mental disorder to help them manage and cope with school In reality you get 1 teacher juggling over 100 kids, 20 of whom take up so much time and energy due to various issues that the remainder only get partial education

My younger brother has ADHD He seems to do just fine in school and is overall a quiet, calm person I notice sometimes while he is doing homework, he can easily get sidetracked and play a music video while cracking himself up He is also pretty physical at times with Mom and at times is very loud and energetic He at times says strange things just to see how we react and often gets a kick out of it I think one thing that helps him out is him going to swim practice and competing at meets as he is incredibly solid (He once swam four miles in a practice You might call BS but he had a two-hour practice that day and I have seen first-hand his hard work paying off) Overall, I love the little devil very much as I respect his self-control, his intelligence, his wit, his confidence, his resilience in living with ADHD and he being able to be unapologetically himself (He's like a honey badger as he is fearless, thick-skinned, and unwavering)

Yeah, I was board and fought doing work Why should I do the homework when I pulled out a 90-100 on the test? At nine I refused to talk to the therapist and take the tests Guess what I was still diagnosed All the junk they wanted me to do I refused to do With the diagnosis though I did learn that I was passed anyhow I did the tests and state tests, but because I refused to do bush work the grades were bad I am 43 now I think this is over diagnosed I have been tested as an adult and do not have it In high school the way the teachers weighted the grades, homework didn’t matter

For me adhd is like- the world is kinda like moving when it’s still the smallest things can zone me out I can’t be still at all I use to have a fidget spinner to keep me from being all over the place it’s hard to focus on things I also have uncontrollable anger issues

I suffer from attention deficit disorder but without hyperactivity I also suffer from dyspraxia This was diagnosed only 3 years ago (so at 21) when I had an exam to find out if I had a type of autism that would have evolved favorably So, I'm not autistic, and the symptoms of my attention deficit disorder and dyspraxia went under the radar in part because the symptoms were included as part of my epilepsy (diagnosed when I was 11) Good luck to my counterparts

Please remeber these are only two stories I have a friend with ADHD and she is a straight-A student in honors classes and gifted She's quiet in class and rarely ever disrupts brThese are just the obvious cases were the ADHD is clear, not all ADHDers are like this
