I have owned my own home It was starting t get to time for new roof, a/c unit ect Now, back to renting I DISLIKE IT I HATE HOA's I have to pay for lawn care, weed control, fertilizer, pressure cleaning house & drive, attending to landscaping, & renters Ins my rent alone is $1400 ( FLa Water $50, Electric 200 The other area as needed None of the neighbors talk or get together I live on a cul de sac at end of a development Very sad Now that our church is still closed, I see no one It was new to me as I just moved into this area Oh, Security is added onto Cable bill $ 275 HOMEOWNING: Yes, there will be expenses & repairs BUT, you gain equity You can do whatever decorating/colors you want When building as you did, I love how you redid your laundry room Love & Blessings from Florida Comment from : @nancyuren6456 |

One lady bought a brand new home and when they came to install the cable the tech circuited something and theybwere completly out and had to have an electrician come and fix it The cable company ultimately reimbursed them but freak accidents happen Luckily they had a buffer If not they would have had to stay at one of their parent's home Comment from : @briannanight8395 |

I am currently a renter but want to buy a house in the next few years! Renting in Florida is outrageous though, we have a two bedroom apartment and pay $1200 not including utilities, trash, etc Comment from : @BeachMama79 |

Great info, Shay I am a homeowner and own a second home as an investment property (this is the 2nd time my husband and I have bought an additional property) My husband detests the additional responsibility, but I didn't mind Now that he's retired and I'm close to retiring, I am feeling the same way he does and I want to sell We all need to be aware of what works best for our lives and not just depend on what others, even experts, say is best Comment from : @Ms_StaceyLynn |

I am a renter because living in south Florida the cost of money to buy something decent is very high I also don’t think I’m mentally ready for the responsibility that comes with being a home owner Comment from : @N1JBOOGFAN18 |

I bought a home last year and it had to be renovated I had previously rented for 13 years prior to that I went broke renovating I'm just now, a year later, starting to get my head above water The whole time I rented I kept thinking I wanted to own a home Now I worry about things like what if the a/c breaks or the roof leaks, home repairs, etc I didn't worry about any of that while renting I honestly know I'd be better off financially in the short run if I'd stayed renting The problem was my landlord kept talking about wanting to sell the house I was in I didn't want it So, I bought a house so that no one would make me move by selling a house out from under me I'm in GA too, east of ATL Not enjoying the current heatwave either Comment from : @tracyg4660 |

I'm a renter, but I definitely need a step ladder since I'm 5 feet tall LOL I can't reach all the cabinets without my step ladder!brWe're renting for now The goal is to pay off debt and build a savings before we get into the process of home buying It's also a wild market out here for buyers right now! You always make the best videos regarding life in general I live in an apartment and I pay 1200 per month for a one bedroom At this time, I can't afford to purchase a house or if I even want one I'm single so living in an apartment is working for me I lost my job almost 3 months ago because the company I worked for outsourced a lot of jobs Therefore, even if I wanted to purchase a home, I couldn't I also don't have a down payment for a home and I don't want to go into my retirement account to get the money Comment from : @PrincessDiamondCut |

Did you buy your first home before you paid off your student loan debt? Any advice for saving for a down payment while paying off student loans? Is it even a good idea? Comment from : @bryanacamillebraxton4770 |

I'm a renter because our home is priced waaay under market value and it serves our needs It has also allowed us to save a very nice down payment when it comes time to buy Keeping our overhead costs low has boosted our credit and our savings which will help us get a great mortgage hopefully!
