I just shoved my tent into the bag because I got sick of not getting it rolled tight enough to fit I did it that way for years and years and it never seemed to affect the tent in any way Rolling a tent up on the ground just never seemed to work anyways for me

UPDATE: They have added mesh 2-layer doors to this tent, finally making it more usable in hot weather and truer to a 4-season tent

Update as of December 2024: I have used the Stella for two winters and it’s excellent It’s so good that I bought a second Stella However…the second Stella came in a black bag with Cosmitto written on it in white letters The irony! I remembered your review complaining that the name of the tent wasn’t marked on the bag Now the WRONG name is written on the bag

I purchased the Stella recently and mine has zippered mesh in the doors (that adds about a half pound to the weight to the tent) Personally I would have preferred to forego the mesh doors in favor of the weight savings as I will only be using this tent in the winter and bugs aren’t an issue when it’s that cold out brbrI will be adding adjusters to the two fly guys and have replaced the zipper pulls with bright orange cordage so I can actually find them amongst the sea of black everythingbrbrThe tent bag exterior is labeled “Cosmitto” while the tag on the interior with the directions is labeled “Stella” Swing and a miss on that one 😅

Purchased a Stella for myself after watching your videos, and I was very happily surprised to see that they addressed the no mesh door issue, they’ve ditched the small vent holes at the top and made the doors 2 layers, one solid, one mesh!

I purchased this on Sept 6th and the version I have now has a mesh panel on the entire door section on both sides So you can unzip that section and get full mesh for a lot more airflow now If its cold, you can zip it up and it acts just like Luke's version here Very good change to make this more versatile for warmer months

Look at any real 4 season tent and the outer fly will extend to the ground to keep the weather out You talk about this tent being designed to be used in the snow, you would get snow drift all up the outside of the inner tent It doesn't look a bad tent but it's most certainly a 3 seasonbrbrIt's interesting to note that this tent now comes with mesh doors, presumably it didn't have them at the time of this review

Seems like a good brand/tent A question Putting cost aside, do you have a brand and model of a full 4 season tent (2-4 person) that is still great in the hot summer that you can recommend? And on a different matter, do you have an opinion using a pop up tent above a pickup or suv versus a ground tent such as this? These overlanders and their pickup setups swear by the pop ups, but a great ground tent tossed into the vehicle would avoid so many issues Thoughts on this? Thanks

Bought one, and I mods it with 95mm pole you don't even need the bend in the pole bought 390 cm pole and remove 195 cm (3705cm and it was perfect) The tent is way stronger in wind and with snow loadingThere extra guideline you can add and you can put trekking pole under the small pole to increase snow loading Thanks for the review this is a great tent

Every time with this company, it's the storage bag and stakes I usually use a paint pen on bags or some sharpie and duct tape I always change the cheap cordage on stakes with 5mm or 3mm line and just gorilla glue the knot as I too have gauged chunks out of fingers brbrThe tent fly stake out points can be a problem, but some bungie cord and a short piece of 3mm para and a hitch solves the tension issues with nylon and silnylon tarps and fly's( have to put lots of tension to stretch the bungie) when staked As the nylon stretches, the cord takes up your slack and no re-adjusting

This is one of the reasons I switched to polyester-it doesn't stretch the same way nylon does and doesn't need to be restretched when getting wet I understand that nylon is quite a bit lighter than polyester, but how well does it really keep out rain? Both are not particularly waterproof but nylon is awful I think the construction of this tent is important because of the way one tigress has separated the outer from the inner

Thanks, Luke I'm going to purchase this tent Only thing which is a minor concern is the black color Here in Finland we have a bird(Western capercaillie) which is very keen to attack anything black Whether a person is using a black rucksack (been there done that :D), wearing a black jacket or sometimes even a black car They will attack (usually only in spring when they are looking for a partner Do you have any similar experiences?
