After seeing your review of this tent I bought one and had it shipped to the UK Last weekend I took it to a bushcraft show and I have to say it was great We had thunderstorms and high humidity but no condensation or water leaks I loved the fact that because there are two doors I could store my kit in one and cook etc in the other also I was able to kneel up inside and change clothes etc Many thanks for your review it got me an awesome tent

One of my concerns of any tent is color Here in Alaska a dark colored tent becomes an oven when the sun is up 20 hours a day

Well of course I got a lemon Part of the pole system had extra material in one of the female connections which prevented the male end to fit We'll see what I can do but there doesn't appear to be support on the amazon page for it Probably took too long to test the tent out after ordering but we'll see Other that that I can say the tent quality and materials seem nice Just unusable without the pole system I will say the one large pole system is a bit awkward to handle Not a big deal but other tents do it better

I recently ordered and received the one-person tent and I'm skeptical I've set it up in the backyard and expect rain tomorrow so we'll see how waterproof it is It's an ok size for one person, and there's not much room for gear, I may be able to fit a pack at my feet, maybe My skepticism comes from the loose threads and being able to see daylight through the zippers I'm curious to see how it holds up, but either way, I may return it for a two-person tent I'm a big guy and this may be just a tad too small for me

You say this is a 4 Season Tent? How does it fare in bearing 3 or 4 inches of snow? Structurally, I do not see it happening without a majpor collapse brbrOh, and I checked availability here in Canada at Amazon, C$24800 or about US$18200 Not such a bargain here There are Chinese tents that I would buy off Aliexpress first

It exactly fits a couple 25" pads It's sad when it's rare for a 2 person tent to actually (yet barely) fit 2 people Wait, did you just say it's big enough for 2 people PLUS? For those of us who need a long pad due to height, there's really not much if any room left for anything inside A chihuahua maybe? But yeah, I realize I'm commenting on all tents, not just this one specifically It's like most gear is catering to, ummmm"small" people

Luke I don't know if Amazon is trying to pull a fast one but the link you have posted for the tent goes to one that is not like you put up, The framing poles are NOT the same so I assume the rest of the tent may also be different

Amazon is no longer showing this same tent, though the ToMount backpacking tent goes by the same name Pole design is different, and they're showing a 5 lb weight and there's a single inside pocket Packed stowage bag length under 20 inches So this is a great review and I appreciate your enthusiasm, but it looks to me like you can no longer purchase the tent you're reviewing

Hi Luke, the $79 MC ToMount you reviewed was already at $110 when I went to buy it They had a grey model with a bit different style than your green one, at $49, but I waited a day and the price jumped to $59 Your viewers purchasing activity must be driving up the price algorithm at Amazon I hope the one I get tomorrow will be good for my solo car camping needs My Big Agnes is a bit small for car camping Will mine leak?? I know you said there is to much mesh for winter/4th season… and it certainly has the wrong stakes for snow but, I would love to see it tried Once you seal the fly with snow, to keep the “air flow” from stealing all of your heat, maybe the mesh will keep you from causing a condensation snow storm on yourself inside the inner tent And, I would love to see how it handles snow load? Finally, weight is less of an issue if you are using a Polk sled…brbrIf it’s water proof and you replaced the stakes, who knows…?brbrWill hate having to wait until next winter for the snow to come again to find out but would love to see it

I’m impressed by the size and price of this tent As a tall guy I have usually bought two person tents for just myself The weight isn’t that much of a concern because I don’t plan on any through hikes in the future I’ll reserve too much judgement until I see whether it’s waterproof As far as winter camping I wonder how it would do with a snow load but it’s interesting

There is now a "grey" colored tent version now @ $49 Although it looks more beige than grey on the pictures Not sure why its $50 less than the green versions Impressive to say the least though Waiting to see the rainproof test If it lives up to the tests, I do plan to buy this tent :)

It looks like they were using big agnes for inspiration on this tent The pole system on a big agnes are very similar The copper spur has an awning as well This is massive compared to the big agnes though and the weight shows that as well But for that price point I am very impressed to see that type of pole system

It’s interesting, on Amazon Canada the same tent is listed as a 3 season…brMakes me wonder if their description is dependent on location And as far as “backpacking” goes…it would fit in mine easily, but that’s personal choice Like my wife says: “Any closet is a walk in closet if you try hard enough”

I think there's wasted space in the height of the tent because you can't stand up in it and when you sit down in it, there is loads of unnecessary unusable space above your head What were they thinking? Could have been shorter and saved a lot of tent material
