What lightweight tent are you using at the moment and do you recommend it? Comment from : @HazeOutdoors |
I have a Lanshan One with a 'T' inner, I would NOT buy a 'J' version inner Comment from : @RegEdmunds |
I would be happy to buy a Lanshan 2, but ONLY if it comes with a 'T' inner Can I buy one of those? Comment from : @RegEdmunds |
Блин, никогда не задумывался, что значат цифры 2000-3000-5000D Оказывается, столько миллиметров воды должно быть на ткани, чтобы она начала протекать Comment from : @УделПлебеев-м5р |
I was quite satisfied with the Lanshan 2, I bought the Lanshan 1 4 seasons Theoretically staying warmer with the smaller interior volume Comment from : @sot8343 |
Stupid comparison Comment from : @mikaelbergman9108 |
But the PRO is really a single skin tent, the 2 is better and not much heavier than the 2 PRO Comment from : @rogerhudson9732 |
The 2 skin versions are seam taped, it’s only the pro versions that need to be sealed Every reviewer I’ve seen makes this oversight 😂 Comment from : @bigjonoutdoors6968 |
Thanks for this very good video Comment from : @steveasula |
I nearly pressed the button on the lanshan but very nervous about how it would perform in bad weathercertainly not in the mountains in winter Comment from : @Tanko3691 |
Thank you for sharing! I've been deciding which one to buy and this comparison video really helped! I'll go with the Lanshan 2 Pro! Comment from : @fordroams |
Not clear how many tracking polls do you need? Comment from : @haggishead7558 |
Would the lanshan 2 pro be big enough for me and my girlfriend? I’m 5ft 11 and she is 5ft 2 Comment from : @MarcoAntonio-py1tj |
In your over head camera shots, it looks like the 2 isnt taking the wind as well as the 1 Comment from : @intothefoxhole7985 |
So in your opinion, the Lanshan 2 at £170 is good value as long as you're not bothered about condensation, and you seal all the joins yourself? Comment from : @FACup-eu2dt |
I’ve come back again a year later just to hear you waffle on 😋 Comment from : @modestadventurers |
Great review!! The 2 Pro looks the ticket By the way, thats got to be a North Yorks accent right? Im guessing York :-) Comment from : @SuchaDoofus |
A little disapointed, I thought the pro version would be a bit more robust, I would not like to take that out in a UK winter Comment from : @Tanko3691 |
The age old debate 🙌 Comment from : @NickGoldsmith776 |
Brought the lanshan 2 Pro for the coast to coast next year can't wait love the tent Comment from : @Bluemerlehikes |
I cant find a single reason to buy the PRO over the Normal one Comment from : @ivaylotsankov7292 |
I was looking at one of these but I’m 6’7 I guess these aren’t the tent for me? Comment from : @adamstopstime |
Question I'm 5'10 but with size 13 shoe size will ha have any dramas Comment from : @smily2208 |
don't they make a 4 season version though? what do you think about that one? how's it different? Comment from : @noalbalint3900 |
2000mm HH No thanks ! Comment from : @Chris66able |
What is the perfect height for the hiking poles?brAnd, what if mine are a bit longer, like 130cm? Comment from : @hinrichfuchs |
I only use a single trecking pole so the Lanshan 2 is a non-starter I'm seriously thinking about the Lanshan 1 because my current Vango is over 4lbs Only snag is I'm a 6 footer I see there's a Lanshan Plus option that's a few inches bigger, I'll need to investigate that Comment from : @alangauld6079 |
Finally bought a Lanshan 2 Pro today off a fella here in the UK and being impatient don't want to wait till next week, never mind waiting on one from Aliexpress, can't wait to get out in it and hopefully use it to walk WHW for my first long distance trail 😁 Comment from : @CNMCD |
Glad you reviewed this tent Mr Haze thank you Bud keep at it Comment from : @timwoodward4217 |
Would say that Lanshan 1 might be a choice if smaller footprint is needed for tight spaces Comment from : @EarlyMist |
That's not the Pro version, the Pro version doesn't have separate inners and outters, they're integrated What you have is the ordinary 2 Comment from : @Sir-Kay |
I have Naturehike Mongar 2 planning a 5 day hike and at 2kg the Mongar while very comfortable had to go Have bought Lanshan 1 Pro have tested in garden and I think if you had the Pro would find the head room issue is a bit better due to the single lining wallsbrbrDefinitely agree there is a comfort in a larger sized tent and weight isn't too much more from the 1 Pro to 2 Pro but if you take the that philosophy soon you'll be justifying everything to yourself Every 100g more is more fatigue on your muscles more on day three on the trail you'll be wishing you hadn't brought (or maybe glad you did for that comfort!) Comment from : @iamapopsicle9457 |
Really well summarised, good one Comment from : @jackriminton7959 |
Have you tried the new lanshan 1 plus? Comment from : @Old-Sole |
What about the lanshan 1 plus? Comment from : @Old-Sole |

Thanks for the great review! The Lanshan Pro 1 is roomier than the original Lanshan 1 Not sure which one to get Pro 1 or Pro 2 Don't use trekking poles at the moment Comment from : @ae3323 |
These tents have alot of unused space for storage etc in the corners Comment from : @ukbushcraft7533 |
My USA mountain west TENTS: 3 SEASON-> Tarptent Notch Li solotent WINTER-> Tarptent Moment DW brNeither are "cheap dates, especially the $600 Notch Li Dyneema cloth tent but they are both great for their purpose and the Notch Li is "Hilleberg quality" Both are "wind-worthy" when fully staked/guyed out Comment from : @ericb4358 |
alreet bud what colour do you prefer, green or brown? Comment from : @birchinboy5450 |

I have used this tent and it was leaking under medium heavy rain, and yes I have seam sealed the tents It was raining under a couple of hours and it was like a very light shower inside the tent We were actually a group that was camping and we used two lanshan 2 pro and one pro1 and all had the same issue, Every tent had water inside the tent in the morning I would not rely on this tent for more challenging hikes The construction is fine but I could never recommend to buy this tent Very sad to say this, but you have to buy the real original stuff or maybe the old lanshan model The old Lanshan have a rating on the outer fly of 5000mm waterproof index and the pro have 2000mm Maybe the older model is more secure? Comment from : @jesperosterberg2588 |
As an American I heard 100 pounds and thought, it can’t be that heavy Comment from : @travisallen1015 |
The Lanshan 1/2 is even lighter but not for everyone Comment from : @driewiel |
I really like my Lanshan Great tent that ticks all the boxes for me I'm not a summit dwelling wild camper and like to tuck myself into the glens and nooks and cranny's Great video Many thanks Comment from : @SimDeck |
Does the Lanshan 2 pro need to be seam sealed? Comment from : @marcodallamico1531 |
Now I know what the tent is 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 Comment from : @theninjaman |
Hi, I'm thinking about a new tent: the X-Mid (one or two) but this Lanshan pro sounds great too Is it worth it? Comment from : @Cucndnsgdhjffmddj |
Blimey what a great review I had the Lanshan 1 but immediately realised it was not for me Head Feet touched the sides I am 5'11" Sold it for what I bought it for thankfully but I loved the design and now this seems the perfect warm weather tent great review btw will check out your others Comment from : @garethcumming667 |
WARNING POOR QUALITY LANSHAN 2 PRO Bought one from Guangzhou Pedestrian UL Store Aliexpress brPitched to seam seal Stitching had come apart in 2 corners Due to being busy earning a living did not find this out till beyond 15 days they give you from delivery so hence couldn't open dispute Company did acknowledge my initial messages and even said it was down to bad workmanship But have since decided to ignore any other correspondence 1 out of 10 for this company Thats only because I received it Comment from : @petedevon |
Great summary Haze, thank you Comment from : @chrish3305 |
The lanshan 1 PRO has no inner, and this gives more internal head and foot room Have a look if you get a chance I believe it is lighter than the old 1 Comment from : @whatkjsaw4461 |
These tents look great But have you thought of running reviews of tents more suited to bikepacking, or considering those people/as[ects in your reviews For example, bikepackers don't take walking poles, but they would consider this tent if you can get foldable (short length) poles that would go with it instead of a walking pole Comment from : @McStoolio |
Hi pal, can I ask you why you prefer a tent to a tarp? Comment from : @eastsaxon67 |
After seeing your video on the STS tent, and doing a bit of research, I got my local outdoor store to order a Telos TR2, but now I'm considering a Lanshan 2 Pro Which one would you say is the best for a 196cm tall guy and a Malamute? Disregarding the massive price difference - and weight 🙂 Comment from : @GeirReiulfsen |
If you like 3F tents, please search camperlists, our 3f products prices are better than Amazon and Haze Outdoors review is wonderful and detailed👍🏼😄👏👏😍🤙🤙🤙👍🏼😄👏👏🤙👏😍🤙🤙😍 Comment from : @camperlists-3fulgeardistr |

Rookie question:brDo you have to use walking poles? brMy camping is generally done by motorcycle, not much need for hiking polesbrAlso, can you get the outer rainfly edges closer to the ground? Comment from : @theeaselrider4032 |
I don't think we should be buying anything from China after what they have done to the World Better spend your money on a British tent maker Even if its more expensive Comment from : @christophersmith7714 |
Thanks Bro Comment from : @MrDwanehoward |
Nah just here to listen to you waffle tbh 😂 Comment from : @The1Flying |

Love the idea of passing the tent on 😍 Comment from : @kerrymiles9966 |
A Trailstar by MLD is a much better option than a cheap tent that will absorb water Comment from : @brianbassettnumber1 |
What's the ideal pole size Haze? I have fixed poles I want to use so what's the best all round length for pitch not too low or high Comment from : @antduke2361 |
