Audra My concept to sell or not to sell is exclusively based on risk to reward comparison Total costs in and out are around 10 A $600k house runs $60,000 fees and expenses Sp500 index has essentially no fees and expenses Same with commodity like Gold Same with dividends Real estate is not liquid but stocks and commodities are liquid Appreciation in sp500 and gold are running 25 plus As you can see, we now own 3 houses, gold, and sp500 index funds called SPY In a year we will be selling two of those houses Our dividend portfolio runs 10 yield Instead of paying property taxes, insurances, and monthly operating expenses, our plan is to cash income monthly checks It is a simple plan- houses are a liability by definition Checks coming in are assets Checks going out are liabilities Do you not agree?
