Can someone explain to me this; when I search for jobs on seek, indeed etc the pay doesn't seem that bad most wages coming in between (70-90k) at level 2-4 Is the pay actual that bad as people make it out to be ?

I'm also living in Sydney and considering taking up a Diploma in Community Service from TAFE I'm actually an Electronics Technician but I have been in and out of the engineering industry, nowadays the pay is terrible ($35k-45k) and they expect technicians to work like construction labourers so I'm thinking of taking up social work Your video is very helpful, it helps me to decide whether I should take up social work as my next career option Getting paid $55k with salary sacrifice option is good enough for me at this stage compared to only receiving $35k-45k just because engineering companies in Sydney are basically looking for intelligent brains that are stupid and stressed enough to be manipulated (the irony) brbrI probably shouldn't be expecting $55k at diploma level but do you have any input on whether it's difficult for a diploma level graduate to land a job in social work? In texas, an MSW can make about 40 to start and 55-60K with experience If you get in the federal system its 75-95K This is without clinical enforcement (LCSW) An LCSW (clinical social worker) is the highest license you can get Human services is closely related and it pays about 35K at the undergrad level and 70-100K at the graduate level federal system I have a Masters in Human services and I am pursuing a MSW frankly for the LCSW

Damn, I got to move to Australia In New York, it's almost a must to get a Master's degree in Social Work in order to a decent job in the field It seems like in Australia you can get a pretty good job in the field with just a Bachelor's I like the system you got over there too with the levels We don't have that in the US
