Some years ago, I bought a Panther Arms DPMS No fancy trigger, no frillsbr Amazon bought tac light, Magpul sights, and a Sight Mark red dotbrFor about $700, I can pull the trigger, and it goes BANG!brI didn't even know anything about optics or lights, etc, when I was in the Army We just had the M16 with Iron Sights

People think KAC is too expensive, but hear me out It already has a good trigger, a muzzle device for a suppressor, the best back up iron sites on the market and resale value/history Thats hundreds and hundreds of dollars you may have to put into a mid tier gun It is also "supposed" to last much longer than most rifles So personally, I think KAC is a great value

I got a daniel defense DDM4V7 is that as good or better than the BCM for the upper? Went with Aero M4E1 for the lower Proof barrel Geissele for bcg/trigger/lower parts Vortex for scope Hope I got good parts

Am I the only one that doesn’t give a fuck about triggers? 😂 I’ve literally never cared and don’t have a difference in shot groups or dependability when shooting milspec vs any other gimmicky trigger I get the reset argument but I literally just replace trigger springs that don’t affect the operation of the trigger group I actually sold my Larue MBT after using it for a couple of range trips I think AR’s have turned into purses and stupid asses who are paid to keep these companies in business are the first ones to advocate for someone to go broke buying unnecessary shit

The more money spent on guns that look good with little to no additional value will in turn increase the amount of copium to justify the purchase price You can just by a cheaper frame and upgrade as peices wear and tear Or buy a DD and never touch it, and pretend to be that "real gun guy"

That’s like 7k for a “budget” gun lol You can grab a colt m4, throw a decent aimpoint red dot on there that the irons can co-witness with Grab a sling and I’d recommend at least a stream light rifle light Can do that for about 2k It’s not exactly cheap, but it’s what you need and isn’t sacrificing quality Just isn’t as Gucci as you can getbrbrSomeone trained on a setup like that can do most of the shit you’ll ever need

HRT awls mk3 head is the best value DF footprint head on the market imo 100 bucks outputs better than my modlite plhv2 and malkoff My weltool throws better but it’s 150 bucks and isn’t potted Ultimate value light setup , mk3 head, Weltool DF body, SF tail clicky, arisaka mount Can’t beat it on price to performance ratio

Maybe another way to look at performance is like horsepower in an engine the first 100 horsepower over stock is fairly easy to obtain but the following 100 horsepower is exponentially much more difficult to achieve The R&D On Any Given rifle can be in the tens of thousands of dollars and to recoup that money the target audience is going to be in the upper tiers of those willing to spend two to three thousand dollars on a rifle
