I don't believe you, I think they call that a unicorn, In other words it doesn't existbrbr On a side note and a long rant (sorry but I think I have to complain to anyone that might listen lol) about Chinese manufacturingI bought a Carter mechanical fuel pump th other day from RockAuto for a 1978 'corvette that I inherited when my dad passed and visually it looks ok but slightly ruffer in it's casting, you can't really see it so that doesn't bother me to much, what I am scared of is installing it because I know I will die in a year or two, the car just generally sits because I am not a 'sports car kind of guy (give me a work truck) the original pump lasted 40 years, the new one has a life time warranty so I can return it for another one if it does die but it is the labor of getting that thing in and out of that cramped corner of the engine makes me question do I want to install it when I have plenty of experience with Chinese made fuel pumps on other classic carsbr I bought a Carter because it was an American company noted for making Carburetors, carb rebuild kits and other fuel system parts all of which were made in the USA (or Canada I think) Now I get a Chinese knock off that I payed an American price for that I am sure is the same as the $9- pump I ignored made by some off brand company, I bought the carter thinking I was buying a name brand quality part that is made in the USAbr I hate globalization and I I hate our politicians for allowing this to happen, I hate the fact they lied to us telling us that we will all benefit from this practicebrI really do hope that president Trump can reverse this trend of American white collar business men gutting a company, just keeping the name while laying off all the employees, to sell on brand recognition alone with not a care to detail or quality brbrOk my rant is overbrbrOn a positive side, you inspired me to buy some Xcelite screwdrivers, a total of 7 for about 9 bucks shipped from eBay, I am looking forward to trying my hand at polishing them up and making them like new like, you did yours a month or so ago with the nut driver My father was an electronics (and manufacturing) Engineer and I remember him having this brand for his electonic repair projects around the house brSo I would like to thank you for the trip down memory lane (I forgot about Xcelite) and if they come out good I am going to buy more of them (nut drivers, man, I could use a good set of those, I always forget about them until I need them)brAnyways have a good day my friend and I hope all is well
