Hello, and thanks for the informative video I am interested in installing an HRV or ERV (state of ND) I had a company come out and give me a quote They wanted just over $7,000 for the job which I thought was extremely high The home is 3,600 sq ft The company also wanted to tie it into my existing HVAC unit and said I would need to run the fan on the HVAC unit 24/7 or at least every time I wanted to run the HRV / ERV I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions you have on this Thanks again Comment from : @dan993 |

I’m a total HVAC noobie and first time homebuyer One question I have about the ERV is its relationship with the AC Will running the ERV 100 of the time improve the AC’s performance during the hot humid summer since it preconditions the air going to the unit? brbrI’ve noticed the AC struggling on hot days and I’ve had contractors come check out the unit, and it’s all fine from their perspective I also have the ERV running at 30 of the time, and just upped it to run all the time I guess I’ll find out if it’s effective myself in a bit, but curious to hear your thoughts brbrThanks!
