What if I wasn't actually able to do something because the problem was beyond my abilities Like solving a tricky calculus word problem I ran to AI to help me solve it, and it actually matched our prof's answer key At the moment, I am struggling to understand how it got that answer and it really requires my concentration to understand But, I am not motivated to do it And I feel like, even if I would come to understand the solution, I would still feel dejected because I didn't solve it on my own br The point is, what do we do with still feeling unmotivated because our hardwork alone was not enough to solve our problem and we require others help at that?

I would also debate that it's a linguistics issue: if you tell someone they're a smart worker, it doesn't necessarily prime them to do ball/b of the work or even difficult work They'll do what's smart: not wasting energy & only doing what's fun (I mean, they're kids) The latter group was told they were bhard/b workers, which subconsciously translates into "I find the difficult things & navigate through them" I think it's more a conscientiousness-guidance issue than birth

I struggle with studying and staying motivated even with projects that I actually bwant/b to do I've always been told how smart I am, and as a result it's lead to doing low effort easy things to give myself a small boost that doesn't last and taking the easy choice I don't listen when people call me smart anymore, yet I still have this problembrbrI'm glad I watched this video, even though I was eyeing a different one (one not about self improvement) before playing this one Gotta keep this in mind Thank you for this

3:25 - I disagree with that method because external factors are crucial during work and it is possible that you will spend entire workday and do almost nothing I know what I'am typing bc I work at sea and I fight with elements everyday And even if you try your best on the end you will do (almost) nothing It is role of supervisor to plan workday and remember about weather or other details

tbh ever since i was a kid ive been told i was smart by nature and that i was talented i may do my work but i was always demotivated and i know that i have more that i could do but i never had a reason to do it so i never actually gave an effort to try Thanks to this I know that its not my surroundings that control's my chances of success but me (of course the environment surrounding a person still affects things at a certain rate but this opened my eyes to see that even if thats so, i am at control of what i do about my surroundings and situations)
