Depends on your bike if you ride on a 125 you will most likely have to give it throttle while slowly pulling out your clutch to not stall or be jerky

My question is when i practice especially going down a gear lets say from 4-2 do you have to hit the breaks as well? Because when i go to throttle after it starts to scream Im really having trouble there and my father (who got me into biking) doesn’t understand what im trying to say

You don’t have to pull the clutch all the way in Just find the friction zone I do agree it’s different for every bike but you don’t have to pull all the way in

had a lesson for gears recently and he taught me to change gears with high rpms (without releasing the accelerator) felt wrong, sounded wrong was uncomfortable AF until i just did what felt a bit more natural, now im here, thankyou!

I've started going to motorcycle course and I've just realized how shit my instructor is I told him I never rode a bike before, never sat on one, not the best bicycle rider, never rode a moped or anything he sat me on yamaha 07 and told me it's similar like a car, he shifted to first gear and told me to go I was like "are you sure?" but yeah I fell ofc and and he was surprised I fell??brBut yeah, I've learned so much more watching this video! Great video for new riders! The only thing I do differently is that I do downshift because it’s safer to stay in gear for when traffic starts moving again or if someone behind you isn’t paying attention Do you have a more advanced video showing how to float gears/clutchless shift with a bike that has a normal clutch? I have one showing me floating gears but I don’t explain how to because it’s not for beginners

No matter what I’ve tried, my down shifting is pretty bad I have only gotten up to 3rd gear (29 mph) and that was by accident… smh I just want it smoother before I venture outside of my neighborhood …
