Dear people who watch this video For those of you who care (myself included), I made a mistake on the map I included in the video of Serbia This map includes Kosovo, which is claimed as Serbian territory I support the independence of Kosovo, however, and not the Serbian government Comment from : @kklein |

What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Well, trilingual brWhat do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual brWhat do you call someone who speaks only one language?brAmerican Comment from : @exemplifyengineering |

Which language should you learn?
br#1 English - the most studied/used language on Earth
br#2 The language your job requires you to use
br#3 The language of the non-English speaking country you move to
brLearning a language for the "fun" of it is a waste of time and effort, especially with Google Translate on your phone Comment from : @jackspratt624 |

One of the best things about learning a new language is that you find works of art and literature that have all these different subtleties of expression that were previously non-existent to you, and you may just find something that becomes one of your favorites and changes you as a person I think learners of French are particularly lucky because there's such a treasure trove of music, films and series out there, a little more so than the neighboring languages Comment from : @tharun7290 |

An excellent video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike To really learn something, you have to really practice every day You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language" This book is always in my bag If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me Comment from : @matildawolfram4687 |

In my country people are taught 3 mandatory languages in school (Our country's own language, a neighbor country's language and English) Well, I only learnt 2 in school so maybe now's the time to learn a third one brBut there's no way I'm ever going back to Swedish I have actual mental trauma from that I get flashbacks of the classes I was forced to take If I end up in that country I'm not sure if I'll make it past the 10 minute mark Comment from : @j100j |

If you're not going to use the language, it's a waste of time English has become the lingua franca I was learning portuguese and french, and it was a total waste of time I never got to speak to anyone in those languages and when the opportunity arose , people would literary just respond to me in English Comment from : @frankserpico9450 |

I decided to learn more languages when I realized that being able to speak only my native language and English makes me look at the world from a limited western perspective I wanted to know other ways to look at life, the problems we face, life philosophies, etc And although there is plenty of material in English that can hel,p with that, learning other languages opens so many more doors to new world views Comment from : @luisguilhermeoliveira5794 |

Comment from : @cassandralange7993 |
|
|

Here's a little story from an American who has a lifelong background in language learning Improving my German (which I had learned from my family since childhood) is easily one of the best decisions I've done in the past year I got back from a trip to Germany a few weeks ago, and in it, I spoke exclusively German with almost everyone I encountered, except for a small handful that I already knew were fluent in English I can tell you firsthand that if you speak their language fluently enough, Germans will not treat you as a foreigner or tourist, but as one of their own That is truly a wonderful feeling, especially considering it's a country and culture that I'm passionate aboutbrbrThat's my little language learning story (or rather, a language brushing-up story) Hopefully it gives an example of why learning a language is well worth it Comment from : @CookieFonster |

It‘s true! I've been learning English for 15 years now and I'm suck at it! But the progress I've made is still satisfying! I'm learning a third language now because the only two languages I speak (technically should say write here, I speak languages that don't have writing systems) are at some levels very hegemonistic Can't imagine these are the only languages I know for the rest of my life It's suffocating! Comment from : @Esthers2411 |

A babbel or duolingo sponsorship would have been much more appropriate lol Comment from : @tahasilat7394 |

At first, i learned languages simply because i had to, in a sense, i was too young to think about it when i started learning English, but now i'm learning other languages because i want a career that i'll have to already be a poliglot just to try to apply to I'm a rather lazy person, so i didn't care much about learning Spanish before i set my mind on what i want to be, so i didn't learn much when i had 3 years of it in middle school (it has since been cut from the curriculum, sadly) I hope i can achieve my goals, i'm still a teenager now, but i don't have that much time to do it Comment from : @defenestra013 |
