FYI how the govt calculates inflation:Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) defines inflation ? In the BLS Monthly Labor Review,(August/2008) , an article called “Common Misconceptions About CPI” it states how the BLS calculates the CPI:”The CPI’s objective is to calculate the change in the amount consumers need to spend to maintain a constant level of satisfaction” The key words here is “need and satisfaction” Absurd !!!!!
